I'm shocked that anyone would find the buffet lacking, when it's so much more complete than other places. I think there were at least 20 hot items on the buffet, and they don't put out vats of the stuff, they put out just enough and make more (fresh!) if more people come in. The place was spotlessly clean. I've eaten here many times and I've never, ever had a problem or encountered anything dirty. I noticed that the "reviewer" who gave it one star also gave two other Indian restaurants 1 star and that's his total review history, so I think he has a problem. The food is more Pakistani than Indian, and it's great.
My husband and I were there on Monday for lunch, and there was a large selection of items. The hot buffet included chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, lamb Rogan Josh, some great beef dishes, 3 types of rice, a bunch of vegetables and samosas. They had more vegetarian offerings on the other side, and also had plates of tandoori chicken, little sausage style patties, samosas, naan, and lots of other appetizers. My husband is like Homer Simpson at a buffet and he was very, very pleased with everything. He kept heaping things on his plate.
The staff is great, they go out of their way to accommodate people. Their teas are delicious. Kashmiri tea is excellent, as is Jasmine tea. We have brought various friends to this place many times for lunch & dinner and all have loved it.
Once, about a year ago, we went for lunch and after I arrived I started to feel sick. The grandmother who was helping out there that day made me a special mint tea to help soothe my stomach and hovered over me. You don't get that kind of service just anywhere.
