“Gets a little loud during brunch times, but in general great place to hang anytime of the day.”

“Great spot to start the night – will have to return to try their food and Lil Charlie's was closed!”

“The tuna tartar is amazing to start with and as goes for entrees you won't go wrong trying the steak with arugula salad or the lamb chops.”

  1. Walked in and really liked the atmosphere and the cute bar in the back. Doors open on a beautiful night where there were tables inside and out. Wasn't impressed as the drinks were very overpriced, $15 for a dirty martini which was good but nothing special. I'm sorry but for that price it should be in a bigger glass or special in someway. Trying to be a hipster place but……….not worth it.  Also Ordered a salmon appetizer$17, asked if it was gluten free was told yes and it came out served with bread on top. Waiter took it back saying 2 minutes for a new one will be brought out, 15 minutes later we finally got the right dish. The salmon tartare was good but not sure how much I liked a sushi type dish with guacamole on top. I beyond love salmon and guacamole but I don't think together. Meals looked very good but small portions.

2 stars for nice atmosphere but nothing else. For those who read my reviews I don't normally give bad ratings

  2. A cold winter night walking down kenmare in search of a restaurant after our first option fell through and ken&cook lured us in with its warm welcoming friendliness. I had been here a few years back, but never for dinner.  I'm convinced that it's improved since I was last here.

This place was perfect for date night. We set by the window in our own little corner of the world. To start out with, I was so happy with the food and service.

I ordered the branzino and it was nothing short of delicious. He ordered the salmon with creamed spinach and was very content, which is great because he doesn't always feel as though restaurant portions are appropriate.

We also ordered 2 of the specialty cocktails. Hmm. They sounded great on paper, in theory, but in reality left a great deal to be desired. I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails so I was attracted to the tart description, Lots of ingredients, but minimal flavor. Not being a fan of sending back drinks, we ordered a shot of grand mariner to allow us to fix the drink ourselves. The waitress tried to help out, but it worked out for the best this way. Oh well. Nonetheless, a great night out and pretty cool restaurant.

  3. I came here with a large party for my friend's birthday on a Saturday night. A friend and I got to the neighborhood early and decided to drink at the restaurant bar before. We walked into this loud swanky scene with barely any place to stand and we definitely could not hear ourselves speak – we regretted coming here early to chat. Thankfully, after telling them we had a reservation, they led us to a much quieter dining room downstairs. They didn't have a bar for patrons to sit and chat at but they had our table ready an hr early. There was only one server downstairs, he did a good job and he was really sweet but he was spread thin. Cocktails here are pricey. We were given warm bread with olive oil. We ordered a few appetizers – burrata (standard), beef tartare, octopus salad (too chewy). I had the scallops which tasted as good as it smelled. My friends had the Scottish salmon (eh), filet mignon, and the short rib (a tad on the sweet side). Definitely make reservations if you plan on coming to eat here on a Saturday night!

  4. Never again. Soggy fried chicken wtf??? Who wants soggy ANYTHING fried. What? Did they dry it the night before then just heat it up??? Kfc is better than this! Ate at the bar and bartender started off a bit cold, rude, and SLOW (she was talking to her coworker, made eye contact with me several times but never asked if I wanted anything to drink) then she realized we were going to dine at the bar and became more attentive and refilled our endless cocktails promptly. But the food ew no never again.

  5. Expected a little more for the price on the entrees.

  6. – pricy for what you get
    – $40 bottomless brunch (2 hours) is worth it if you get 2+ drinks
    – decent food but don't know that I'd revisit

  7. Really cute little spot downtown.  I've never had a bad cocktail here-they're so inventive and refreshing.
Coolest thing about this place is they make a lot of juices on premises and include them in the cocktails.  They also have drinks like old fashions and manhattans with little updates-although I'm sure they make the standards really well too.
Great place to meet up with friends before dinner for unique cocktails and delicious appetizers.

  8. We were able to make a last minute reservation for a party of 8 on a Friday night. We lucked out. On walking in, it is a small venue, with very little seating. It has an intimate, classic NYC feel, but no "wow" factor. The atmosphere is a 4/5.

The menu is well rounded, with several options of pasta, fish, or meat. The menu is impressible with a 5/5.

The bread that came was average,  it was just breadsticks that were a 3/5.

The service was considerably slow, with dinner taking over 2 hours, for no obvious reason. The waiter also kept mixing peoples wines, since we had ordered 2 different bottles. However, the serving /wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. Service overall was probably a 3/5.

The food itself was delicious, with everyone being very pleased with their meals. I got the linguine with chicken/tomato sauce. The pasta was homemade, very fresh, but the chicken's texture was too tough. Others got the pork, burger, seafood pasta, mushroom fettuccine. Overall, the food was a 4/5.

The best part of the meal, was when the waiter started walking over with what we thought was Patch's surprise dessert, and we started singing but they went to the table behind us. Patch then got "rustrated" and wanted to leave. Little did he know, the hold up was for his actual birthday cake, which I think overall he was happy with (I mean, I asked specifically for a lava cake… you can't go wrong!).
