  1. Holly Kimchi, this place offers an awesome Home cook Korean food experience. The staff are really friendly and enjoy talking with the customers. They have a good vibe as they prep your food. I had the honey dew ice tea which was different and had an authentic flavor. We ordered the katsudon bowl and bulgogi bibimbap which was very good. We will need to revisit this location and try the rest of the menu.

  2. I stumbled across this little spot right off the J train and I'm glad I found it. Curious to see what it was I walked in and decided to try as soon as I saw dumplings on the menu. Those who know me know I love love dumplings. I decided to get the fried pork ones and I was not disappointed. I also tried the Kimchi Fried rice and also enjoyed it. It's a decent size and so flavorful. They make everything fresh to order. I also tried the spicy salmon rice ball and it was very good. Has a little kick to it but well prepared. The staff is super friendly and nice.

  3. A truly welcome addition to this stretch of Broadway. It's small with plenty of light so you can either grab-and-go or sit in the window and the counter and watch the world go by. There are a few tables as well.

I checked in the with the yelp and got the deeeelicious iced tea for free with my lunch. I went with the classic beef bibambop which was simple and flavorful. The whole experience was cheap, cheerful, and quick.

I couldn't ask for more. What's more, they deliver. All in a all good quick food before or after the train.

  4. OH F**K YEAH.

Is the only phrase I can describe Kichin. It's been quite awhile since I got excited about food. Now I waltzed my way in here after a happy hour so my memory/feeling of the food might be superfluous. I blame the one too many Brooklyn lagers I've had.

It's been awhile since I've seen employees actually give a shit about their food. I ordered the spicy salmon nigiri (rice ball). My spicy salmon rice ball was handcrafted with such love and care. The amazing man (God bless him) made my onigiri in less than 45 seconds, inspected it and then wrapped it so perfectly. The man in the front of house lovingly poured some amazing red sauce in a cup to go as well. This is the type of joint where you take your shit to go and make your way home so you can stuff your face like an animal. Seating is present but very limited. My spicy salmon rice ball was cooked perfectly and stuffed with soooo much salmon. Perfectly cooked salmon. The fish was moist and delicate. The way salmon should ALWAYS be cooked. It was spicy but in a flavorful manner. Not overpowering. Very filling.

Words cannot explain the happiness I feel from eating their food. I am so happy I only live 3 blocks away from Kichin. Now if they delivered, half my paycheck would probably go to eating here. My only regret is that I only ordered a spicy salmon rice onigiri and I wish I was hungrier and tried more stuff.
