This restaurant is a good hole in the wall type place to get something quick to eat. It is very similar to Big Wong. I like to order the pork with thousand year egg congee. You can also order a fried cruller, or fried dough, to pull apart and put in the congee. Appetizers I recommend on their menu are minced beef rice crepes and the fried cruller rice crepes. These dishes are the beef/ fried dough wrapped in rice noodles I like for Dim Sum. Entrée dishes I enjoy here are chicken pan fried noodle, beef chow fun, beef with green peas over rice, and chicken/ vegetable mei fun.
The roast pork is phenomenal here. I get it to go and eat it at home with my family.

Old school, no fuss cantonese restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown. My office regularly orders lunch from here because they have some of the best roast meat we have had in chinatown. When you enter the restaurant, dine-in is on the left and take-out is on the right. I've only had take-out here so I don't have any comments on the dining experience.
On the left of the take-out area is a fast food counter where you can choose 3 dishes with rice for a total of 4$. Since our office is more dish heavy (and less carb heavy), we choose to order large boxes of dishes from their take-out counter (I believe a large box is 3$). Our favorite is the spicy tofu (which generally sells out by 12PM so come a bit earlier to be able to choose from all their selection). Their roast meat is also decently priced, with their char siu and roast pork being our favorites.
While their food is incredibly cheap and affordable, the one thing they lack is service. Whenever you order from them, you can expect to get a big dose of attitude from them. They make you feel like you're serving them instead of them serving you. They scoff at you when you order from them (especially from the roast meat section) and they make you feel uncomfortable. I really like the food here but I would definitely come more often if their service was better.
Came for a cheap quick and tasty dinner. It was only cheap and quick. Not tasty. The line for the bbq meats was pretty long but that may have been because of the setup of the restaurant. The 2 servers were attentive but it was a super fast meal so nothing much to attend to. As much as i wanted to like this place it was just a cheap meal. Easily just $10 with tip for 2! im just a little confused with the viet name… i didn't see any viet items on the menu
This is my go-to place for lunch if i'm in the mood for noodle soup.
I highly recommend their Cheew zow noodle soup which contains a shrimp, a cow brisket ball, a fishball, some pieces of shredded chicken, and some pieces of cha siu(roasted pork) for only $4.00( used to be $3.50 but they raised it the last couple of months).
They also offer three choices of food with rice for $4.00 for lunch. However, the selection usually is very limited after 1pm. So go there earlier if you want rice.
This place was solid as I was just walking by, looking to grab some food and it looked like a place where you can get some quick cheap food. To be honest, the place is a bit dirty, but since its so cheap and quick its not a bad deal. The congee wasn't at the level that I am used to but the roast duck was good. I also got a noodle soup needed some more flavor. I'm not sure I would be eager to try this place again but if I was in a rush, I would probably go back.
According to my Chinese coworker, he said this is one of the older restaurants in chinatown.
I came here with a friend because I just love roast pig. Roast pig is the crispy kind, not the red stuff slathered in sauce.
Not much to be said about this place, other than it's no frills Chinatown. Rice, meat, what more do you want?
The food here is pretty cheap and tasty. When I was done, I ordered the roast pig to go, and I think it was $8 a lb or something like that.
They have what is arguable the best roasted duck you will find in Chinatown. They also have what is arguably the worst waitress you will ever find in any restaurant. I brought a non-Chinese friend to eat with me once with the cook looking intently and he got pretty sick. So beware.
Go there if you want to buy take out duck, but thats all I can suggest.
I seldomly give poor reviews but this merited some venting.
Asked for a 3 blessings rice and specified char siu and roast pork to be my two meats. Also asked to have a little more "gerng yong," which is a salty type of scallion and ginger condiment.
With a seemingly annoyed "what?! 3 blessings rice?" (In Cantonese) the butcher reluctantly turned around to get a box of rice. Then grabbed a conservative amount of roast pork and sliced it up. Noticed then that the butcher gave me duck instead, and figured whatever and decided to keep it. But he grabbed it from what seemed to be a pan of leftover meat. Probably extras from larger orders but also definitely leftover meats unwanted.
Cashier? Meh didn't bother looking me in the eye before or after barking the price and taking my cash.
The food? See for yourself. No "gerng yong." The duck was practically all bones. The roast pork was conservative indeed. If the goal was to not care, they've done well. Unfortunately, so will I be conservative with my stars and recommend you find another roast meats type of restaurant in ctown.
There are plenty.
