Katie H. invited me to an Instagram meetup event with #QueensEats at Kimchi Smoke. His pop-up was located on the 2nd floor of Rockaway Brewery that night. Katie and I both split the Cho Burger and the Mac & Cheese. The Cho Burger was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. The briskets were juicy and filled with so much flavor and wrapped with ramen burger buns. The briskets reminded me of the meats I had in Tennessee (moist, tender, and finger-licking good).
However, I really want to say something about Robert Cho. I think he is the most down-to-earth chef I have ever met in my entire life. He personally came over to our table to talk to us, took a million photos with us, and talked a lot about his dishes. He's very easy to speak with and is very passionate about the food he cooks. Throughout the night, he wanted us to try out the rest of menu and get our opinions on his dishes. He introduced us to other items on his menu like the ChoLander Fries, Collard Greens, extra juicy brisket pieces, and of course the amazing donuts. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Once he gets a more permanent place, I would love to come back again. It was my pleasure to meet with him and his crew.
