Finally Indian food that delivers to Englewood!
Ordered delivery through the Yelp app and realized later that I had a coupon! As I called Kinara, my doorbell rang. They however were so nice about it and still willing to honor the coupon and came by soon after delivering my free third entree. Now that's amazing and committed service that keeps me coming back for more.
Their tikka masala is not as thick as other sauces I've had. The eggplant was hearty and the chicken saag was good. I got everything mild (Indian heat is on another level) but perhaps I'll up the ante next time to give the food a little more life. Like others have reviewed, the food here is definitely clean and not oily.
We love Kinara and are so happy to see one pop up in Tenafly (naturally just before we decide to move away from Tenafly, sigh). Lovely interior; comfortable, simple, clean. Food is great as always and service is good despite the location being new/just starting up. Be sure to check out this Kinara location…absolutely just as good as their Edgewater location and with more natural light/windows to boot.
I ordered delivery via the Yelp app. When the food arrived it about 45 minutes I was very excited. The smell of the food alone had me salivating. I ordered a variety of different dishes each with their own distinct flavors. The Mulligatawny soup was amazing. The depth of flavor was unreal. Good thing I ordered some Nan bread, it made for some good sopping. For my appetizer I tried the Haryali Kabab (baked chicken wings marinated in yogurt and cilantro) the flavor was nice but they could of been crispier. I also has the Lasooni Gobi ( roasted cauliflower in a chili garlic sauce). This was a nice balance to the chicken wings. For my main course I ordered the Lamb Roghan Josh in a curry sauce with a side of basmati rice and Raita. I requested it mild and it came out perfect. Next time though I think medium heat will be the way I go. Overall the meal was fantastic. I definitely plan to eat their food again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
