Nice spot. Not bad at all.
The lunch special of 2 rolls and a salad is good for $7.95. I'm not sure why I was the only one in the entire restaurant, but I enjoyed it.
Its clean and service was fast and on point. I was literally in there for a total of 15 minutes. Ill be back.
I thought it was time to try the last sushi restaurant within reasonable driving distance. I wanted to see which was the best. Being adventurous is cool, too, but I have no desire to be as dorky as Rachael Ray (financially obese? Yes!).
Of the three dine-in sushi restaurants (the other two are Yamada yelp.com/biz/yamada-bronx and Sushi Q yelp.com/biz/sushi-q-bro…) in the Bronx that I am aware of, Kiraku has the cutest decor. However, with a no alcohol (BYOB policy), it's difficult to wait for my food. Ever endure Chinese Water Torture? Ever watch "40 Days & 40 Nights?" Ok, the wait is not that bad, but there is no convenience store within a 1 block radius to pick up any beer.
The sushi was fresh (see photos) and we enjoyed our sashimi plate and specialty rolls. However, parking in that area can be tricky and I don't live in walking distance. I will just request for a delivery in the future.
There was one waitress and the service was slow. For those who live in Morris Park, this is your only bet for sushi. I guess it's better than nothing (there are a handful of Italian restaurants though).
