Only went because I had a gift certificate. The sushi was not fresh at all. The staff didn't speak English. We ordered a roll that had something my girlfriend was deathly allergic to but it was not listed in the description on the menu. When we informed the staff, they refused to make us a different roll unless we paid $3.
After dinner, I went to the bathroom, which you have to go through the kitchen to get to. I wish I had done this before I ate. The kitchen was absolutely filthy. I was disgusted. The kitchen rating is listed as a B on the front window, but that seems generous. I'm submitting a complaint to the health department. Dine at your own risk.
A great lunch spot, with fabulous prices. I stopped in here with a friend on Sat afternoon for lunch, because we saw a sign outside advertising lunches for $8.99.
And it was true! You can get three sushi rolls, with soup or salad, for $8.99. Or 2 sushi rolls for $6.99.
The rolls are well-sized- My friend and I both ordered 2 rolls, with salad, and I added miso soup, and we split red bean moshi… and it came to $10.50 per person.
You can't beat that. Seriously. The soup was tasty, the salad had the lovely ginger dressing that I expected, and the rolls were fresh and tasty.
I've ordered twice from here and both times have been great. I get a California Roll with brown rice and a Shrimp Tempura roll also with brown rice. It's hard to find a good to-go sushi place because I feel like it never tastes as good as when you order it in the restaurant. This place delivers their sushi with in-restaurant quality. The tempura both times has tasted fresh and didn't get soggy from delivery. The delivery was faster than quoted both times. Very happy with this place.
– overall rating: 4.5 – fresh and generous portions – recommend: maki combo B (california roll, tuna roll, yellowtail w/ scallion roll) $12 – timely delivery service, $10 minimum – very reasonably priced for the area and the quality of the food
I got the Chicken Katsu Bento Box, which included one strip of chicken, 2 spring rolls, 4 pieces of sushi, and a side of white rice. The chicken, sushi, and spring rolls all came with their own sauces.
Everything was decent, good but not great. The rice was had a nice, sticky texture and the spring rolls had more flavor than many other one's I've had. The box was enough to fill me up, but it would've been nice if there was another chicken strip or a few more pieces of sushi. Without the white rice side it would have been on the small side.
It was ready for me during the reserved time window and was still warm/fresh by the time I got back to my office ~20 minutes after.
I'd stop by here if I was in the area and looking for something quick, but its nothing to write home about.
