“The first time I was here, I got the spicy pork wrap and it was really good.”

  1. Believe the reviews. Really good barbecue for the price you pay for. I got the spicy pork belly and udon combination. Amazing portion for the $12 or $13 I paid for. This is good quality meat for the price compared to what you get across the street or at KBBQ joints down the block. I don't have a big stomach, but I think the portion could've lasted me TWO meals. The udon was meh, but the meat left me satisfied. Coupled with refreshing kongfu tea. YUM!

  2. Great little stand in the food court in K-Town.  I got the spicy pork plate which came with white rice, a salad, and you can pick a few side dishes to go with your meat.  The spicy pork had a good amount of lean/fat meat ratio that was great mixed with the sides I got on top of my meat and the rice.  Food was very flavorful and not at all too spicy.

The only downside is that Kobeque has a $12 minimum for credit card and considering most items are $9.99-$10.99, it's a bit frustrating since you either have to pay for a friend, or order an extra just to make the minimum since the drinks are sold in the food court separately.

  3. Ambiance: it's a food court can't say much about that…

Service: nice people however in my opinion the food took a little long from taking my order to order up for a food court restaurant… And it wasn't even busy  (disclaimer I might have been a little hangry at the time)

Food: delicious and the portion was more than enough for me, do get yourself the bulgolgi rice platter it's pretty good.  I will say it is a little pricey as others have stated but if you were to go eat at a sit down in ktown you'll be paying significantly more for relatively similar quality food

  4. 3 1/2 stars. I came here for lunch after taking the LIRR in. I got the spicy pork bulgogi BBQ rice bowl. The guy was nice. It was decent spicy pork but nothing special. The portion size is good but I would have appreciated more meat. I also don't love bringing my own tray to a dirty little side room. I wouldn't go back again on my own but wouldn't be against going again if others wanted.

  5. I'd raved about Kobeque previously, but I definitely won't be back.

The appeal of Kobeque is no longer. It used to be that you could choose your own toppings in your BBQ burrito. Now, they make that decision for you. Portions are still good, but I definitely did NOT want that cheese in my burrito. Ugh. Thanks for asking. I really wish they'd kept their offerings the way they had them before.

PS. There is now a $12 credit card minimum.

  6. 3 1/2. Came here for lunch and got the bulgogi BBQ rice bowl. The guy was very nice. The food was nothing special, but it's a good portion. It was decent bulgogi. I would have preferred a sauce on top or something to add more flavor.

  7. Curry rice with spicy pork is awesome!  It is the best $13 I spent on lunch! It is so wonderful on cold days like today.  The curry sauce is a bit too runny for my taste but still good

  8. This place was awesome! Located in a food court where the items cost about the same, I realized that the food quality is highly variable. Comparing this to Korean House just two stalls down, the food here was SO MUCH BETTER. The presentation, portions, and taste was far superior.

    1. Bulgogi Bibimbap: The bulgogi was pan-seared, and the veggies were delicious. The rice was perfectly done, as was the soup and kimchi that came with it. It was $13 for all of it. Excellent.

    2. Pork rib stew: This was amazing. Really hearty and the meat falls off the bone. It comes with a big bowl of rice as well as some side items. The stewed veggies were all soft with just the right amount of flavor.

I highly recommend this place over some of the other stalls.
