“I've gone with people who have ordered the burger/sweet potato fries and they said those were also great.”

  1. Dude behind the counter was very nice, chicken teriyaki burger was tasty, service was efficient and straightforward and the space was nice and clean.

  2. Ordered take out from here

    Pros:
    – The chicken teriyaki bowl over ramen was amazing! The veggies were cooked to perfection and the ratio of chicken to ramen to veggies was good (I read some other reviews saying that there was too much rice for the bowls but my coworkers said the rice portion was perfect)
    – The potato fries were to die for – paired it with teriyaki ketchup/spicy mayo
    – Only tried two of their sauces (teriyaki ketchup and spicy mayo) but they make everything taste good!

    Cons:
    – My other coworker said the beef burger was not anything special – it was the sauce that made it yummy

  3. Ordered through grubhub. Had the chicken bowl, sweet potato fries, chicken teriyaki burger and the Kobeyaki burger.

Absolutely a m a z i n g. The food arrived hot and all the contents used were fresh and flavorful. I had requested the spicy mayo on the side because I wasn't sure how spicy it was going to be. It was simply perfect and this meal definitely made my day.

    Helloooooo new lunch spot

  4. WOAH. This food is good, man. I'm only giving them a 4 because I only had their delivery, so I can't rate their full service. I found these guys on seamless way uptown when I was at my parents' place, and I wish they were available where I live! I tried the Ramen Noodle Soup and the Kobeyake Burger. Both are incredible. It's worth noting that I still have yet to try authentic ramen anywhere, so this was kind of my first, and I'm sure it's missing some of the bells and whistles… But the flavors are great, and it has slow roasted pork that's not bland like I usually find pork to be. The burger has this delicious teriyaki ketchup combined with spicy mayo, kind of like their play on an Asian fast food mashup and it really works. It also has a nice crunch with an Asian slaw and cucumbers. Overall great meal from Kobeyaki, highly recommend.

  5. I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat, so my friend recommended this place to me for their grilled chicken teriyaki bowl. I ordered on Seamless for pick up, and it was nice and hot when I got there. I sat inside anyway and they were super nice about it, and it was my first time ever entering or even seeing Kobeyaki so the atmosphere was unexpected and nice. It reminds of of Chipotle, but with better food and polite, attentive service.

Their condiment bar is adorable and has a bunch of options.

I got the grilled chicken bowl sans yellow squash because I don't like it.

I expected basic chicken teriyaki which I do like, but instead I got an amazing explosion of flavors.

This is hands down the best chicken teriyaki I've ever had, and it is SO loaded with vegetables and obvious quality ingredients that I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

They also have two options for soy sauce for those of us (me) who are extremely paranoid about their sodium intake. "Less salt soy sauce" ftw!

I'll definitely be coming back here to try their other options.

    5 stars!

  6. I'm not sure this qualifies as healthy, but it's a step up from other fast food options in the area.

There were a ton of veggies in my rice bowl, and the whole thing was very satisfying. Burgers and beer rounded out our order. Everything was tasty. Staffers were pleasant. Surroundings felt like a cleaner, less-frenetic Ikea.

Not ambitious, maybe, but fits right in on this middling thoroughfare.

  7. i literally eat here two-three times per week and order the same thing , the grilled beef bowl. it's become a joke with my roommate how much i love it. for $10.75 you get a good amount of food and it's consistently yummy. outside of bowls, they have sushi rolls, burgers, salads and soups (all asian inspired) and popular. it's really catching on in the hood. think of it as a loose japanese-influenced chipotle without the lines and extra charge for wasabi mayo.

  8. This place feels fast casual with its clean and brightly lit space, plastic-y seating and big menus for those with bad eyesight.

My friend ordered a sushi roll while another ordered chicken over udon. I guess this is the fast casual version of sushi where the rice was too sticky, the roll was enormous and covered with some neon colored sauce. (More on the rice which is what makes sushi 'sushi' – it was hard to tell where the sushi was cut because the rice clung so tightly together. Plus there wasn't that vinegar taste unique to true sushi rice.) As for the chicken + udon, it tastes like the teriyaki chicken you can get at a mall. You know what I'm talking about — that Chinese place in the food court where there's always a guy handing out free samples in a toothpick.

I ordered the pork bun which is stuffed full of sliced vegetables and has slivers of crispy pork. I liked it for what it was – a super Americanized version of a pork dumpling.

If you're in the area, hungry, and only have $10 on you, then this is a decent place to go for a quick meal. Hmm I did see an Uno's across the street so I'd probably go there the next time I'm in the area. Yayyyy deep dish pizza!!
