Koda Restaurant & Lounge
“We happened to be here during their early happy hour which is 5pm-10pm…”
“Great staff, friendly and casual atmosphere, and some killer bar food (the jalapeño poppers omg and the grilled cheese has PESTO!?).”
“But seriously you would think they would have shitty service with $1 beers on Wednesdays (2/$5 when it's not Wednesday) but every staff member is polite and thoughtful!”

Great Bushwick spot with SALT & VINEGAR fries. Good drink specials, good vibes, good bartenders, etc.
Their grilled cheese is a must-try! It has pesto and sauteed onions on it! The food is very affordable, and higher quality than I expected for such low prices.
The interior is relaxing, somewhat dimly lit, and the bar seats are comfortable. Casual and laid-back.
The cocktails were accurately mixed, and the selection of liquor is adequate.
The customer service was amazing here. The first bartender that served me even took the time to tell me his name (which I've since forgotten) and to let him know if I need anything.
The second bartender who waited on me asked me how my food was, and was very cordial. It seems like the people who work here really enjoy their jobs. Both bartenders were prompt and gave service with a smile. I felt very welcome.
I was there this past Sunday, in case the owner is reading this and wants to figure out who was working and commend them.
Went here on Sunday night. The staff here is great. They are really friendly and definitely attentive. If I lived in Bushwick I'd probably wind up a regular here since the drinks are cheap & the food is pretty good. It's nothing amazing but definitely a good late night spot.
Pros:
Service
Price
Ginger Chicken Wings
The Meh:
Vietnamese Spring Rolls – these were a bit bland for me. I'm not a fan of peanut sauce in general so didn't really bother w/that.
Cons:
I can't think of any
Overall with the laid back atmosphere, service & quality of food. I had a good experience.
