  1. I give this place a 3

Food was pretty good. Price was decent. We went in for lunch and it was pretty empty. Servers were kind.

    Food:
nengmyun (cold noodles) – pretty good.. but not amazing. the broth could have been better
galbi – kinda disappointing. galbi is always good, but this was a little subpar. a little dry and they give you like 5 pieces (for lunch special) wat.
soondubu (soft tofu) soup – this just tasted bad… or like nothing. you can taste the spiciness but no flavor. disappointing.
jeyook bokkeum (spicy pork) – delicious. well made
nakji bokkeum (spicy squid) – delicious but they give you only like 5 pieces of squid and the rest is veggies.. wat.
side dishes: these were good. large variety. kimchi was on point that day

Good korean food. but not the best. I wouldn't mind going back but i'd rather try a new place

  2. I have been coming to this restaurant back when it was known as Aria. Though the name has changed over the years, the food and service has always brought me back. Now that I live upstate, i do not go as often, but when I am in town I try to make a stop. This past weekend, after visiting family I decided to stop. I wasn't very hungry since I had a late lunch but my daughter begged me since she also loves this place. I figured I would get an appetizer and she can get a BBQ entree, since she enjoys cooking her meal on the table top grill.  We sat at the table and my daughter ordered her meal and I just ordered an appetizer. The server told me that they were going to cook my daughter's dish in the kitchen. I asked why we cannot have it cooked on the table grill. Her response is that you need to order at least two entrees to have it cooked on the grill. WTF!?!? This must be a new policy since in the past we were able to use the grill with only one entree ordered. So I had to order an entree….so a $50 minimum to cook at your table? Really?!?!?!? This really turned me off to the place. They definitely overcharge on the BBQ entrees, the servings are skimpier than before. I gave the three stars because the food is good. As for everything else it was ok. Service is lackluster, prices are exorbitant for what you get for the BBQ entrees. I don't know if I will come back. It is a shame, since it was one of my favorite dining spots on Central Avenue.

  3. A solid choice for Korean food if you don't want to trek into NJ, Manhattan, or Queens. I mean c'mon you have very limited choices in Westchester. You cannot compare this place to other Korean establishments outside of Westchester or you will be disappointed. However compared to other Korean restaurants in the upstate area, this place is solid.

The bbq is solid, the nengmyun is okay, but I like the option of the smaller bowl. Their gopdol bibimbap is solid, and their new item wookuhji kalbitang is yummy. I def wouldn't mind ordering that again.

Yes it is on the pricey side, but all Korean restaurants are pricey. You just get more bang for your buck in NJ. However, this is Westchester, so you may consider this a slightly mark-up, but it is slightly. If you go to NYC and order the same food, the price will be similar.

  4. I've been coming here for almost four years. My children had their first taste of Korean here and this was where I ordered from hours before I went into labor with my daughter. But after today's visit, I won't be returning. The staff of kind waitresses that I grew accustomed to who were always so friendly and helpful are nowhere to be found. They've been replaced by new staff who apparently have no interest in waiting on you unless you're Korean. I never think that way, but it's an unmistakable atmosphere. I saw my waiter three times …

*Once to take my order – I asked about the Duk Bbak, which he said was spicy. I asked if they could make it less spicy. No, he said. I can't eat any meat this week, I told him. You won't like the Duk Bbak, he said. I told him I usually order Kimchi Bok Eeum (pork belly, kimchi and tofu). Could you give me vegetables instead of pork? Yes, he said.

*Once to drop off my food – My meal comes and the dish is just a lot of kimchi and tofu, no vegetables as ordered. Fine, it was still good.

*Once to drop off the check, after I spent at least ten minutes waiting for someone to look at me so I could ask for the check.

I'm charged $5 for a miso soup and $25 for my lunch. I don't remember it being that much but the waiter shows me the menu. "But I only got kimchi and tofu, it's still the same price?" A firm yes is his response.

Sorry, but it's bad enough to get ignored and overcharged in separated dining experiences, let alone in one trip. I love Korean but they just lost a client.

  5. This is the first time I have ever went and tried Korean bbq so I don't have much to compare all this to.  Me and my wife decided to try this place because I saw a program about Korean bbq on the food network so we decided to go on a Friday night.  Surprisingly enough the place was not full we went there around 6 and were seated very quickly.  I told the waitress this was our first time coming to Korean bbq and she told us to try the clear noodle as an appetizer and it was amazing had a nice smokey taste to it and we loved it.  The waitress suggested for us to have the short rib and chicken and we took her advice one again.  The chicken was tasty but the beef was superb it was so tender and the best part of the whole meal is all the side dishes that you can mix and match with your meal all the while the waitress comes around and and sautéed the meat infront of our eyes.  For dessert we had the red bean ice cream I really wished they offered fried ice cream though or fried cheese cake but it isn't a big deal.  Overall me and my wife really enjoyed this place if someone gave the place a bad rating I really don't know  they must be uptight or something.
