Since this place just hit the one-year opening mark, it is time for an update!
I have been back multiple times and this is my go-to spot for a (relatively) quick but fulfilling meal. This place has improved a lot since the last year when I walked in as the first customer. The menu is now updated and printed on nice colored papers with clear photos. I always go for the hot bibimbap or lunch/dinner box.
The owner, Jasmine, is always really nice. She actually started in the restaurant industry in Westchester. Then she moved to Elmhurst and worked there for 20 years or so. And now she is back here starting her own business. Always happy to support local family business!

Go to Korean BBQ and enjoy!
Solid Korean food at a nondescript joint.
Friendly owner.
Expansive standard Korean menu.
I had takeout.
FOOD: 5/5
SERVICE: 5/5
AMBIANCE: 4/5 (5/5 for what it is., but don't take a first date here to impress, etc)
VALUE: 5/5
OVERALL: 5/5
I ordered the beef bibimbap lunch special to go. Large amount of food, but could eat a bit more beef.. oh well.
The owner is super accommodating and met y request for extra kimchi and extra gochujang (chili paste).
The lunch comes with a korean style radish soup and drink. However, your choice of drink is only basic sodas or water. I got a pellegrino and was charged an extra $1.50.
I would definitely come back and get the yukhejang, which is by far my favorite Korean dish but I didn't want to get messy at my desk at work. Or I would try the chapchae. Mandu looked like maybe it was fried that morning , so I would prefer to eat freshly fried.
Super service and now I am full : )
Good job!
Let me tell you about this place that I found,
In New Ro, Queen City of the Sound.
They were sooo friendly, I was so glad,
The best takeout service I've ever had.
The bulgogi was awesome, if a bit fatty,
But the dumpling soup had us going batty.
And they were great about our dietary limitations,
So overall I give them a strong recommendation.
I dropped by this restaurant last night to order some take out for dinner. I drove right past this place several times without even realizing that there was a Korean establishment there. I parked my car (the meters here take credit cards, 1 dollar an hour) and walked over to the spot. This place is not exactly a restaurant, it's more intended for you to grab your food, eat and go.
The Kalbi Short Ribs and Spicy Pork entrees were absolutely delicious. They included some seasoned grilled veggies on the side along with some sticky rice. The portions were decent but I did wish that they included a few more ribs. This is my new spot to go when I feel like eating "clean".
They took credit cards as well which was an added bonus.
I like this place. The bulgogi is really good. The accompanying vegetables aren't as authentic as you may find at a more formal Korean restaurant in Manhattan, but it suits the tastes of the local demographic. They sell some fun Korean staples, like banana milk!
The staff is very kind and they do accept credit card now.
Also: kimchi = yum!!
