Oh how I love my new trusty crackberry Yelp app.
Yelp led me to Kumo and it made the right choice. Its super clean, it has an "A" hanging in the window and the lunch special is not bad at all. 2 rolls for $8 which includes a salad and miso soup.
Oh yea, mention Yelp and get a free shot, yes, free shot of Sake.
Can't go wrong with that, right? Oh yea!
I really like this restaurant. I have not been there physically, but I always order the Hibachi or Teriyaki Salmon meal with white rice and salad. They even have my number and address saved because I hit them up about once a month so they know the deal. My food is always fresh and delivery is prompt. I dig this place.
The best Rainbow roll I ever had! The spicy chicken ramen was great too. The atmosphere was a bit quiete and dimly lit! A real hidden gem!
Ok – so I see there are many mixed reviews on this Resto – but most of the reviews are based on SUSHI…. My expectation of a mediocre meal was based on the reviews…… but I truly enjoyed my meal! Since I am not a big SUSHI fan… My 4 stars are based on HOT cooked food and to my amazement – I enjoyed it.
I had the Hibachi Chicken – I asked for it to be a little spicy with a side of brown rice – It was really really good and the portion was large.
My friend had the fried wings – it came with a side of sweet sauce -it was also delicious.
Then the rest of the group had this desert – it was like ice cream with a fried coating….. they kept raving about it – and the way they digged in and ate it with so much passion – I must go back and try it – LOL! LOL! LOL!
Kumo is a step up from all the other sushi places in my delivery range. Aside from all the standard sushi, rolls, apps, tempura, etc. (which they do well), they have some atypical standout things on the menu like fried oyster rolls (YUM!) and chilean sea bass rolls. I've only eaten in the restaurant once for lunch when it was fairly empty and they were perfectly nice. Delivery is always fast and they've never messed up my order. A bit pricey for some of the entrees but other item prices are on par – definitely worth an extra couple bucks when it comes to fresh fish!
