I can't believe I never knew this restaurant was so close to where I live. It's a small family owned business and they're known for their noodles in chicken broth. My friend and I both ordered the same standard one but it exceeded my expectations! It was just the right amount of flavoring and not too over the top like the ones you get at other places. It reminded me of home cooked food. We also tried their seafood pancake and while it's probably not as great as ones you'd find at other restaurants, it was still decent and a very generous portion for the amount that they charge for it.
Oh and their kimchi is the bomb.
This place is yummy. There is ample street parking available and it's close by my work. I like to order food to go. I've had food here in the restaurant and the service was prompt. I usually get the deulgae kalgooksoo which is like sesame seed noodle soup (?) and it's always great. I enjoy my food spicy and I add the spicy paste into it.
It's a good place for cold winter nights!!
this little restaurant is just off of northern blvd and definitely a hidden gem. almost don't want to review it. what if it starts getting super busy where will i get authentic korean noodles?!?! D:
came here with a party of 10 and we barely fit. keep in mind this place is SMALL! we ended up having to sit at two tables basically all the adults(7ppl) and all the lesser adults(me and two cousins).
The kimchi here is BOMB. for a girl who can't really take spicy food this was the perfect amount of spice and it was crunchy! The seafood pancakes were fully loaded and pretty standard. This place is known for their noodles since it's a noodle house and it was not what i expected. The chicken broth soup with noodle was perfecttttt. the soup was flavorful and light so you know it's the real deal not that msg stuff you get at other places. The noodles here are thicker than normal, are chewy and the perfect texture. I got it with the dough flakes and enjoyed it! The seafood noodle is basically the same but with seafood. so it all kind of depends on what you're looking for since they have a few other options as well. The hand pulled noodles ranged from $10-15
my cousin got the chicken ginseng soup bowl. which comes with rice inside and at least half of a small chicken. the soup was delicious and the chicken was super tender. this dish was slightly more expensive than the hand pulled noodles but totally worth it
the bibimbap was good if you're not a noodle fan. the stone pot made the rice on the bottom SUPER crunchy like i haven't seen a stone pot with this capability in a while and was taken by surprised. other than that it was pretty standard.
the service is also A+. food does take a little to make so be patient y'all
This place is like a mom pop shop, the owner is so sweet! She runs the entire front of the house operations, making her super busy! But still so pleasant!!
The Seafood Pancake is one of the best IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE 😀 it is big, crispy, and loaded with seafood pieces. some places it's more onion and batter, NOT this place. Every pieces is full of the good stuff, no worries on needing to pick on the best piece haha
The bibimbap is good too. good portion and comes in this flaming hot bowl (becareful) which crisps up the rice on the edges.
also tried their dumplings. Its $10 for 5 pieces. Each piece is a little kid's fist. we got the mix of beef/pork option with veggie. It was delicious but I think next time we should ask if it can be panfied instead for a crunch.
