Ran in for takeout and got a host of dishes to share with the fam. Red curry, green curry, massaman curry, pad thai, tom kai gai. My favorites were the pad thai and massaman curry. I'd put this as the best Thai food within 10 miles.

We tried this place due to the high help rating and the fact that we couldn't get a reservation anywhere else last minute on a Saturday night on a pretty spring day. The food was great and the service was friendly and excellent. It is also a BYOB place which is pretty cool. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to another Asian place we went to in Red Bank. We had the shrimp rolls, vegetable dumplings and fried beef for appetizers. They were all great but you can't miss the spring rolls! We even ordered a second plate of the spring rolls. We all shared three dishes for dinner and they were all amazing. I highly recommend the Pad Prik Khing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Best Thai food in the area. I've been going here for years and I've never had a bad meal. The service is always on point too. Everyone's so friendly and accommodating!

The shrimp pad Thai is awesome I get it every single time. The veggie dumplings are also really good and very different from anything I've had before. I would definitely suggest trying this place it's awesome especially if your in the mood for something different!

After reading all the good press on this place we decided to try it on Saturday night and all I can say is WOW!  Kunya provided some of the best tasting Thai food we have ever enjoyed and as a bonus at a great price.  Starters of a special salad with shrimp along with a house salad followed by their vegetable dumplings and all were great.  Mains of jumbo tamarind shrimp medium hot and pad kra chicken hot were both delicious and served just as requested with the proper heat.

The space is sufficient and very nice and service very efficient and friendly as well.  At $40 this dining experience was a superb value.  Very limited menu but who cares, I'm only eating one dish anyway.

I would not rate a restaurant five stars after only one visit but after a few more trips here I just may be upgrading this place in the future.  In the mean time YOU go here and see for yourself !

Really enjoyed my meal here. This location has been so many different things, I think the last time I was in here it might've been an ice cream shop. Definitely better as a Thai restaurant! I wasn't too hungry when I got here so I wound up just ordering a vegetable soup. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be awesome! The broth was so flavorful and it was packed with vegetables. Also tried some veggie dumplings which were pretty good. Everyone I was with really enjoyed their meals, my dad especially loved the duck. Everything was fairly priced too! It's a great place to walk to after a trip to Carton– pick up some beer while you're there because this place is BYOB 😉

Great Thai goes well with curdious service. The curry puffs are pure magic and the perfect way to kick of a great meal. I enjoyed the chicken tamarind which was a crispy dish with veggies and savory brown sauce. My wife found a soup like curry chicken noodle dish. We can't remember the name but it was fantastic.

I recently discovered the joy that is Khao Soi at a Burmese/Filipino fusion restaurant in NYC's LES and realized that Burmese/Laotian/Northern Thai cuisine doesn't get enough exposure and credit for the awesome dishes they serve.

After my initial exposure to the hard egg noodles cooked briskly on spicy curry-based sauce with a mixture of veggies and chicken that is Khao Soi, I frantically asked all my Thai/Laotian friends if they knew of any restaurants that served Khao Soi both in Jersey and back at home (on the off chance I get to go back home sometime soon) and most of them scratched their head and told me that finding a restaurant that does Khao Soi and does it right is almost as hard as finding a restaurant that does Thai Crunchy Chicken Fried Rice correctly.

Disappointed but not discouraged, I kept Khao Soi on the back of my mind everytime a potential dine-in experience at a Thai restaurant came across, so you can only imagine my excitement when I walked into Kunya Siam after a pleasant evening at Carton down the street and lo and behold saw Khao Soi listed under "chef's specialty."

Being the chef's specialty, the Khao Soi did not disappoint. My friend and I thought perhaps ordering two so that we could have one for the each of us might have been overkill, (as most Thai restaurants do tend to serve things out family style) but the portions were perfect. The Khao Soi was great, as expected — I expected more of a panang curry-like kick to it, but the milder yellow curry worked well with the egg noodles as well.

We also grabbed an appetizer order of fried wontons due to an ongoing inside joke between my friend and I (see #tybg if curious) and whereas they weren't overwhelmingly Thai, they were delectable as well.

Best part of the evening was when we realized Kunya Siam is BYOB — I can't even begin to describe how well Carton's Monkey Chased the Weasel went with the Khao Soi broth.

Will definitely be back for more Khao Soi goodness.
