  1. I'll start off by saying that I hardly ever give places five stars because I'm a snob but Kuppi deserves it all the way. This is this most adorable coffee shop in the area. By far. This area needed a large sized coffee shop that didn't include Starbucks and the crowd it brings at the Edgewater Commons Mall. Perfect place to study, have a coffee with a friend or simply lounge with your PC and enjoy the view. I love that the boardwalk is available for people to sit and have a cup of coffee with a view. Lines can get a bit long on the weekends but you can see your barista making every cup from scratch and it's totally worth the wait.

I am not a huge fan of lattes and I prefer my coffee black like my soul but the latte I had here today was so so delicious! It makes me want to give lattes another go in general, but I'm sure I'll regret this. In any case, the deserts are all from Balthazar, Dough Donut among a few and it really is the way to go for sweet lovers like myself.

Kuppi is a wonderful coffee shop that will not disappoint.

  2. Came here with a pen and paper to get some work done and sip on a coffee. This place seems like a better version of Starbucks coffee, and it is, but not much better.

The interior is really nice but for some reason it just felt awkward. Something about the views and layout of the space just felt off and there isn't much going on in the interior to help you forget about the parking lot view.

The space is pretty good at bouncing noise so you can hear just about every conversation within a twenty foot radius, not the best when your trying to focus.

The furniture is nice though, and so was the latte I ordered. I want to give this place 4/5 but can't because a coffee house is only half coffee, it should also be a welcoming place to stay.

If you want a good latte real quick and trying to avoid a main stream brand, come here, but save yourself the trouble and ask for a to go cup and cap.

    Good for coffee.

  3. Over the past several decades, the town of Edgewater went from a dump of factories and warehouses to a place where young professionals with families want to settle down.  Likewise, the town went from having crappy coffee options to having a world-class coffee shop in town.

Enter the shop and you'll see a row of windows at the far end, providing a sparkling view of Manhattan and the Hudson River.  The coffee they brew is proudly displayed on a table in the front of the shop, and the counter with clean lines welcomes you with food and beverage options.

I'm a fan of small business.  I'm even more of a fan of small businesses with owners that are passionate about their business.  Small businesses can have greedy owners who are just in it for the money – "what you want?", "cash only", "you only take two napkin".  This place is not like that at all.  I spoke with the owner who was working behind the counter and he was absolutely passionate about the coffee he served.  From describing the equipment used to provide optimal temperature for the water, to the story of how he sourced the coffee beans – this guy could probably talk you to you about coffee for hours if you gave him that chance.

Ordered a coffee.  Hand poured.  Also ordered a regular coffee to go.  How do I describe the best coffee that I have ever had?  I could go on about the acidity, aroma, bitterness, smoothness, etc. But I won't.  Why?  Because some things just need to be experienced and not read.  It's like describing why some girl is the prettiest girl ever – you just need to see for yourself.

Next time I am able to stop by, I hope to try the food.  If you're in the area, this is the best place to get coffee.

  4. I can't believe that I'm about to leave a 5 star review for a coffee place in Jersey.

My latte was great, the avocado toast was awesome, as was the veggie chilli. The place itself is very inviting and has a great view of the river and Manhattan in the back. Most importantly the coffee is not commercial garbage like Sbux or DD.

Food isn't that great this side of the river, thanks Kuppi for not being ordinary.

  5. The cutest cafe ever! Great atmosphere for studying, or just having a cup of coffee with friends. Amazing view by the river; can't beat that! The staff are super friendly, too! 5 stars.

  6. "If you can snag a decent seat, this is a great place to get work done or have a conversation with friends."

I really like the set-up of the place.  Very spacious, high ceilings, extremely well lit, and large shelves with an assortment of different items as decor to give that artisan coffee shop vibe.

The coffee here is very good.  The beans aren't too over roasted like at Starbucks or other bigger chains.  The baristas here take their time to make sure they prepare your drink the best they can.  They also do that leaf design crap on espresso drinks that every coffee shop in the world seems to be doing, which I personally feel is unnecessary, but whatever haha.

    Definitely check this place out.

  7. Nice place off of River Road. This place sits on corner of a strip mall and has a view of Hudson river from the rear seating areas.  At one point, this used to be a coffee shop then a hair place. Casually modern interior almost reminds me of a page from an interior magazine. Benches, chairs and even bleachers are comfortable, has chargers and work stations thru out the place. Counter service was good, coffee, tea and iced green tea was good has quickly become a goto item. Really hope this place lasts for a while!

  8. Props to Kuppi for offering free sparkling water with an order of espresso. I've only seen Intelligentsia do that before so that was a pleasant touch for someone like me who always purchase sparkling water when I order espresso. Also, fast wifi, beautiful interior, friendly service, perfect temperature.
Dropped one star because their espresso was a little too acidic. probably pulled too quickly. But otherwise, pleasant! I'm telling you, the sparkling water touch is simply the BEST.
