I order from here……way too much. I have never been inside the actual store BUT I have tasted almost the entire menu via Grub Hub ( It's okay, judge my choices. I understand lol)
My favorite things to order are:
Rice Pudding
Plain Tacos
Fish Tacos
Breakfast Burrito
Chicken Burrito
The only food item I thought was gross was the nachos. GROSSSSSSS omg it's basically just chips huge pieces of chicken and mad green peppers. Don't do it to yourself.
It's affordable and great tasting and replaced that one other place I used to go to ( see other reviews for that massacre of my happiness)
We ordered pickup and everything was great. 3 veggie tacos, 1 veggie burrito, and an order of nachos. We had way too much food but the prices were so low I couldn't pass up on an unnecessary nacho plate.
5th star is because I saw the man accidentally place someone else's large order of guacamole in my bag. When I told him, he ended up giving me an order of guacamole for free. Very nice people!
Dropped by for an afternoon snack. I just wanted a quesadilla to go. After about five minutes, it came out in a bad. The bag was heavy. I didn't just order a quesadilla, I ordered the quesadilla MEAL. There was rice and beans and tomato and lettuce toppings. And the dude threw in some green chile sauce to boot. So much for a snack on my way to the train. But I still ate the whole damn thing as I walked, looking like one of those weirdos you ignore on the street but still notice but you're all blase about it because it's NY and we're a dime a dozen.
Oh, and the quesadilla meal was FIVE BUCKS and FILLING. What a deal!
I'm not going to complain about the prices, because these are seriously tasty and CHEAP burritos with endless possible veggie combinations. If not for this newcomer, I would be eating Maya burritos, which are good. There's just a woman named Maya I don't like, and I always have to try hard not to think of her when I eat there. But I love LA, so hello burritos!
The Mission burrito with guac was perfect. It was a manageable size, very fresh tortilla, just crunchy enough broccoli, and there were 4 oz. of guacamole on it as promised. I left there a happy new customer.
Finally found a local mexican joint in the neighborhood! LA Burrito reminds me a lot of the hole-in-the-wall places back home and the flavors in their burritos are actually really good as well! We tried their chicken and shredded beef burrito – impressive weight those things have! They are filled to the brim with rice, beans, tomatoes, sauce, and meat. We also got a small side of guacamole and chips. While the guacamole was definitely on the small side (i was very disappointed because i LOVE guac), I was a big fan of the chips – thick and delicious, not the thin and easy-to-break nonsense some other restaurants serve. Overall, i was really pleased with the variety of the menu as well as the flavors in the burritos. The true test will be their breakfast burritos – that shall be my mission for the next time 😉
