Located on a frequently traveled route of mine, I've noticed a high level of patrons coming in and out of the corner pizza store.
In passing, I mentioned to a friend that I wondered how the pizza was at L' Angolos. The very next day he arrived at my door with two slices of pepperoni pizza. It was really delicious, just a tad greasy.
The cheese was so stringy, the sauce was really perfect.
I had to go there myself to take a first hand look and ordered one regular in addition to the two pepperoni slices. I thought the service behind the counter was a bit rude, which surprised me and hurt their rating of my review. It's a shame to have a quality product in a good location, just to have counter people mess it all up. Maybe I'll return for an entree as I'm assuming it will be goid, but I'm in no rush to go back inside just yet.
its "eh" at best.
the prices are kinda ridiculous.
But for those that arent across the street from Dani's this place will suffice. The establishment itself is clean. But the amount of slices that sit and wait to be eaten all day is in excess. Most likely because people are going out of their way to eat at Dani's.
They have a few tables to sit at outside which i wish more places had… would be nice to enjoy after a walk in forest park.
I found myself in Kew Gardens recently after having visited Forest Park which had awesome trails. I came here since I was voracious having hiked 1.5 miles which is not that much, but still, I wanted a taste of pizza. To my surprise, they had different toppings: pepperoni, eggplant parmigiana with ricotta, peppers and broccoli, and also the grandpa slice. I went with the grandpa slice which is essentially fresh diced cut tomatoes on top of fresh mozzarella topped with another layer of mozzarella cheese. It was simple, tasty, and filling. I didn't find it overly greasy or remotely salty. I liked it. The cost of the sicilian slice was $3.50 but well worth it. The service was alright, not full of happy workers, but what could I expect really? I have to mention that it was air-conditioned inside. I would smile all day surrounded by cool central air, but that's just me. There is the option of outdoor seating and also delivery. The bathroom is clean and was fully functioning.
