L’imprimerie
“I know the word on the street is that this place is a little pricey but oh my goodness the almond croissant alone is worth the extra dollar.”
“It is only the face of the shop, stamped on every bag and cup that exists the shop, Monsieur Gus.”
“That said, the baguettes, the cereal bread, the croissants and now the brioche never take a back seat to that sourdough.”

Delicious pastries, breads, and quiche all baked and prepared in-house! L'imprimerie is an extremely rare find. Feet from the Myrtle-Wyckoff train station, this bakery and coffee shop is a true trip to France tucked under the Brooklyn train trestle.
The cafe has lots of seating (and a backyard that's still under construction). The staff is very friendly and happy to describe any of their carby goodies. We've tried the almond croissant, the almond & chocolate croissant, the ham & cheese quiche, the cheese & rosemary pinwheel and the iced coffee. Everything was excellent! The croissants are the best I've had since visiting France and Montreal. So flaky, buttery, and the almond filling is so flavorful. You must try these. Rusty thinks that they're a bit too pricy ($4.50 each), but the fact that they're so delicious, fresh and baked on the premises makes it an easy sell in my book. The quiche is good, not too salty. Ask them to heat it up for you. The pinwheel was extremely flaky and the rosemary added an almost refreshing for taste. I feel like these are perfect for a summer picnic! The yogurt with granola and the salmon avocado tartine make a light, refreshing, and affordable breakfast or lunch. Terrific iced dirty chais.
The iced coffee is flavorful and strong, no sugar or milk needed.
Yes, they take credit cards now.
Yes, they're a little bit pricier than other cafes in the 'hood.
Yes, they're totally worth every penny.
Yes, this is my new favorite place for carbs.
I have a feeling that this place is going to get outrageously popular very soon. Check it out before it has lines stretching around the corner! Or just stop in for some hearty raisin and walnut bread to enjoy at home.
Very cute little restaurant. It is quite small, but so charming. The staff is nice and welcoming. The coffee was great and the food was simple, but yummy!
Came here 2 weeks ago for a quick bite before I had to go to work in the morning. Looks like they make everything in house, which is pretty impressive to me. You can see the baking equipment from the main dining area as well (also impressive to me, if you couldn't surmise that from what I had just mentioned). I had their coffee and a cheese and herb pastry wheel. The latter was really flavorful: tasty, flaky, and buttery.
Service was a little on the slow and blasé side, hence the 4 stars and not the full 5 stars. Good place to relax and get some work done, though. Oh, and their offerings rotate every day, so it's probably well worth visiting multiple times.
There something heavenly about fresh baked bread. I am one of those people that could never be on Atkins Diet… I love bread way toooo much! And I have found one of the best bread bakeries in NYC! And trust me, I know bread, buy a lot of bread and know the difference in quality. The bread here has the perfect outer crust and the soft inside. L'imprimerie is truly a gift to the Bushwick neighborhood. I make a trek to this coffee shop, across from my other fave coffee spot Mixtape. Where these two coffee shops don't compete is that this one sells incredible bread and pastries. There's also cozy and warm seating during the cooler seasons. The cafe is inviting. The name in French means print shop and they have a gigantic vintage printing machine displayed as decor in the shop. The machine is an ode to the building hosting a printing shop for many years prior.
I came here one day for my pistachio croissant, Parlor americano coffee, a loaf of the "Pain Aux Cereales" bread for home and a little spot to do some sewing on my Bowie brooch.
There was some sort of promo going on so the door was left open. A bit chilly for the door to be wide opened. And then I noticed a tall bearded French fellow walking to meet some friends who also speak French. The beard I recognized right away! It is only the face of the shop, stamped on every bag and cup that exists the shop, Monsieur Gus. I could feel the passion that the owner Gus who loves the shop and loves baking bread. Hence the little window by the treats showing a sneak peak into the bakery.
I highly recommend coming here and trust me, you won't regret it. On the contrary you might get addicted and get a weekly loaf. My favorites are "Pain Aux Cereales" and "Levain" the sourdough that takes two days to develop!
And by the way, their instagram will have you drooling Insta: limprimerie !
A location which might initially strike one as strange, directly underneath the M line at the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop, and looking proudly out at a fast-food restaurant I now know exists, White Castle. The coffee is rich and full-bodied–not for the faint of heart. Literally, I would probably not drink this stuff if I had a weak heart. But it tastes excellent, and gets my day trending in the right direction. Typically, I just stick to a cup of black coffee, though occasionally I'll indulge with a piece of quiche, and it's the best in Brooklyn. Top-notch establishment; glad to have this baby close by. Cheers! (Coffee-style.)
This place is as authentic as they come as far as French goes. I've had pain au chocolate and it was just like in Paris. The expresso is superb and even sold in little French cups….just like Paris:)
They sell baguettes and they're the best in the area.
Their sandwiches are a little pricey for as light as they are, but I let that slide because I know I'm getting good quality.
They raise their own bees to make their own honey that you can buy by the jar too.
The guys who work here are always friendly!
Baby (bakeries), I love ya, I may end up coming here all day long.
Location: Get off Morgan Ave(L line) and take a left.. you will see this place. Don't be scare if you are the first time here. It's a great place for some interesting food experience.
Several weeks ago, I was lucky enough to try MIXTAPE's coffee, which is very purely sophisticated. But this place is even better – i mean their bakeries.. not coffee tho.
Let 's start with their hot staff who works here.
This dude who has a british or Australian accent is so cute!
NVM
I had their cinnamon roll – the best I have ever had.
It's not huge. Although it looks like there's tons of sugar in it, it is but it doesnt feel / taste this way!
The texture is abusultely good
I wished I could be there all day long and have the calories to eat all their bakeries.
And the bakeries are not expensive at all!
The only complain I have is their coffee – bland… ugh..
They have to really work on the cold brew technique dude!
still a 5 -star experience
