L’inizio Pizza Bar
“I ordered one classic 'Nonna' (grandma) slice and paired it with the coolest-looking slice I've ever seen, 'Bianca Neve' or "White Cloud".”
“The pizzas are unique in flavor with very fresh ingredients (some coming from the backyard garden!).”
“The rice balls are also delicious- extra cheesy on the inside, perfectly fried and crispy on the outside.”

Best pizza in LIC!! I tried other places around, and this is definitely much better. The ingredients are all really fresh, you can feel it right away at the first bite. The dough, tomatoes sauce, cheese. Delicious.
A slice of grandma is $4 I think. Maybe a bit pricy, but it's so worthier.
First thing to note is that this place functions as a pizzeria where you can grab a single slice or a sit down place where you can get table service, Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was seated right away, out waitress was very nice and helped us order the best thing to share between 2 people, we shared the Caesar salad and shared a custom pizza with smoked mozzarella, prosciutto and onions, it was enough for 2 people, while this wasn't the best pizza I've had it was good and affordable I would say if you're in the area just go for it
Our group stumbled upon this super cute pizza shop while embarking on the LIC brewery tour. Beer + pizza = a hard combo to beat.
With an extensive menu, I teetered between a few options before going basic with a slice of their Nonna. Originally, I was hoping to get the artichoke, but it was one of the pies that they didn't have available at the time. My slice was tasty, but I had serious food envy after looking at the honey/ricotta/arugula slices others ordered [and loved!] at my table.
Alas, I can never eat much in one sitting, so I stuck with my single slice. If I'm ever back in the area though, I need to try that pizza!
This place might have the best pizza I have ever had (and I am from CT and have had plenty in New Haven for comparison). This place is in a nondescript area of Long Island City/Queens that we stumbled across in the middle of a brewery tour.
You can buy pizza by both the slice or pie. They have both a bar and table service. When we went they had 11 beers on tap and sangria. Upon looking at the menu, my first instinct was to get the "Nanna," which has a couple different cheeses and marinara sauce. However, my friends ordered the pizza with honey, ricotta, and arugula and I knew I had to order another slice… That slice was one of the best I've ever had. The cheese was arranged in marshmallow-like puffs around the corners with the arugula in the center and honey drizzled on the whole slice.
The slices are a little small so your hunger might not be satisfied by just eating one. This is my only criticism.
Service was fast and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend and go again.
Decor: very nice restaurant. In passing I thought it was an Italian restaurant before I realized it was a fancy pizza spot. They have large tables near the door, bar style seating near the rear and outdoor patio seating for the days the weather is nice
Food: Tgey offer a varity of italian eats. Pasta, strombolis, and of course pizza. Looking at the menu, these prices seem far fetched. But considering the area, the price is fair. I ordered the lunch special , 2 plain slices and a 16oz soda for $5. The pizza was good. Sauce to cheese ratio was on point, crust was thin but crispy. I'd score the pizza a 3/5 on my scale.
Service: I was greeted immediately when I entered the restaurant, which was actually alarming. I tried to ask about upgrading my slices on the lunch special but before I could complete my thought the cashier already deemed I would only be getting the lunch special. Why am I being rushed? There aren't any other customers. After her haste I didn't bother to inquire any longer and took my slices and had a seat
Specials 2 cheese slices plus soda for $5. No credit cards under $10. Delivery min $20
Steps above your typical NYC slice. Order at the window or sit down service available, have your pick. Good for families and kids. Clean dining room and bathrooms. Had a delightful white pizza slice cut square and heaped with ricotta and arugula. Slices run just under four bucks.
This place has assorted square slices, with pretty creative slices. This time I stopped by and ordered the meatlovers and the famed bianca neve.
Meatlovers: Homemade Sweet & Spicy Italian Sausage + Chorizo + Bacon + Homemade Mozzarella, Drizzled w/ L'inizio's Housemade Hot Chili Pepper Oil. Very tasty and hearty. With the crust could have been a tad bit crisper on this slice, but still very good.
Bianca Neve: Organic Baby Arugula + Homemade Mozzarella + Homemade Ricotta, Drizzled with Mike's Hot Honey & EVOO. Pretty creative, as I said. The ricotta added a really nice creaminess to the pie. I think a bit more spice would have put this over the top, but good stuff.
Qualify pizza place in LIC. I hear the arranciani are also pretty good.
Call me crazy but this pizza is a little too expensive for my taste. I did enjoy their pizza very much so don't get me wrong.
The inside of this pizza joint is very clean. They really do keep it very nice. The fine people who work there are very nice. They are more than helpful anytime you walk into this spot.
They deliver as well if you don't feel the need to stay at this spot. I do not think it is the best pizza in the area. sLICe is pretty awesome
