La Bella Ferrara
“This little gem is located in Little Italy/border line Chinatwon, just make sure you keep your head up for their Ferrara Bakery sign.”
“The cannoli is fairly new to me, but out of the bunch I've eaten so far, this one was not overly sweet, but had a nice crunch to it.”
“We also ordered a rainbow cookie-cake filled with marzipan and raspberry jam, complete with sugar rose on top.”

Pretty solid cannoli here. I have to dock one star, though, because they're pre-filled and the shell was a little soggy. Overall delicious, though!
I love that it's no-nonsense in here – there's no seating or tables, just rows of tasty-looking treats. Friendly service and the line moves fast.
This has been one of my favorite pastry places since I saw Moonstruck. The Canolis are great and you can seat down and enjoy your dessert there.
This has been my FAVORITE cookie place since forever. I live in NYC and every time I am in little Italy I stop here for the rainbow cookies. Lately though, their selection has been so disappointing!! The cookies the last two times have been stale and I found a hair in the chocolate frosting of my cookie. It's frustrating because the cookies are not cheap either. Please please get it together and get back to fresh luscious cookies.
Wow- Best desserts I've had in a long time. I asked the counter girl what they were famous for; she said the lobster tails were really popular! That people come from all over the country/world for them. I trusted her and ordered one. I also ordered a cream puff, and a mini peanut butter cannoli. The lobster tail BLEW ME AWAY! So flaky- so perfectly flavored and balanced. The cream inside is good but not TOO sweet or thick. The peanut butter cannoli was also delicious. I wasn't too raved by the cream puff. It's a good thing I don't live in NYC because I'd probably gain 20 lbs eating lobster tails and pb cannolis from La Bella Ferrara!
Yummy yummy in my tummy! I was in a chocolate oasis of decadence and then went back for a lemon meringue tort. So many joyful tasty treats to pick from.
Cannoli- crunchy pastry shell + sweet ricotta filling.
Ok I'm no cannoli expert, but they are one of my favorite desserts and I've had better.
La Bella Ferrara has a pretty big selection of Italian desserts and many different kinds of cannolis, in miniature size as well.
We opted for two of the minis – tiramisu & chocolate mousse.
They were okay, but not great. I thought the cannoli shells were slightly stale. I couldn't detect anything resembling tiramisu in the tiramisu cannoli. Both shells were coated in chocolate, so that was pretty much all I could taste.
My quest for a great cannoli in NYC continues.
So many delicious and amazing treats! My sister had one request as we embarked from china town dim sum brunch last summer over to the train to get to midtown. She needed rainbow cookies before leaving New York because they are her favorite! The rainbow cookies which we ate later at home were amazing. Really rich chocolate on the top layer and such fragrant almond taste in the cake. Tons of other treats like cannoli, tarts, cakes, cheesecake, a beautiful array of so many different kinds of Italian cookies, and gelato. The customer service was excellent and there was no line and we were in and out with our baked goods. Excellent stop for a small piece of little Italy.
You can find really delicious Italian baked goods here! My friends and I ordered some cannolis. I had the traditional with chocolate chips, and my friend had the chocolate dipped with chocolate chips. Both of our cannolis were amazing!! They had a touch of cinnamon which was delightful. I didn't try any of the other treats, but they have a large selection of cookies, cakes, tiramisu, and more! Also, the prices weren't bad — if I remember correctly around $4 per full-size cannoli and $2 for the minis.
