  1. THE COFFEE here is LIFE! As a cold brew and iced coffee enthusiast, it was like a dream to see that they had a range of beverages on tap. Like a kid in a candy store, I wanted to try all three (draft latte, black & tan, pure black), but settled on the pure black. The taste is just so distinct and so much more refreshing when it's on tap. My taste buds appreciated the nice balance, as I sometimes encounter that weird burnt taste when drinking iced coffee elsewhere.

La Colombe has easily become my favorite NYC coffee spot to check out. I made sure to grab a bag of Nizza (caramel, nutty, fragrant – best suited for espresso) before I left. They were also nice enough to grind the beans for me. I'm sure I'll be back the next time in New York and can't wait to try the draft latte.

  2. The King of Coffee and best in NYC, in my opinion…as well as Philly, DC & Chicago, where they have other locations, and plan to open shops in Boston, LA & Miami this year.

Many New Yorkers think La Colombe was started here, but was actually started in another great food city – Philadelphia.  I first discovered them in 1999 in their original cafe in Rittenhouse Square and have been a fan since.

It's great to have the convenience of a Financial District outpost, but still prefer NYC's first location in Tribeca, as well as the SoHo location, over this one.

That being said, the coffee is still the same, and well, Excellent.

I love the proprietary South American beans they use as I tend to prefer coffee beans (and chocolate) from South America rather than Africa (which can be too bitter and less delicate, in my opinion).

And also like their Almond Cappuccino, for which their known for as well.

This is a No Frills place.

No "salted caramel-chai-soy-quinoa milk-latte-or-whatever-1,000 calorie-crap" is served here.  Only Real Coffee, using old school cream, real sugar and real metal spoons to stir.

Nice, clean, simple space, as well as high quality pastries and cookies.

Can't go wrong here, so don't miss an opportunity to grab an exceptional cup of coffee, especially on a cool or dreary day.

  3. Another great addition to ever changing FiDi, La Colombe offer great coffee, sandwiches, bakery items and more. One of the best coffee vendor in NYC.

This location has handful of tables and seating, not for large group but perfect for small group of alone.

no elec. outlets and no wifi

  4. Descent coffee bar near Wall Street in the Financial District. Pour-over was well made, almond croissant was a little crispier than I like but still good, and staff was helpful. They have almond milk and a few interesting coffee drinks like a "draft latte" (latte out of a handle, poured like a beer), and nitro cold brew. I'll have to try them next time. There is only a little seating, so don't plan to work here unless you get in early or are prepared to wait for a table.

  5. La Colombe has become this major trendy coffee that's invaded NYC. This new spot in the FiDi district is small and tucked away from the craziness nearby. The coffee doesn't disappoint and I'm always curious about their new forms of coffee like the drafts that literally comes from a tap. This location serves to-go salads, yogurts, juices and a basic assortment of pastries/sandwiches. I tried the lentil or quinoa one and it was delicious.

The staff are your grade C for customer service, nothing terrible just nothing special either. They tend to be a bit standoff-ish and exclusive to their own coworkers. Another off putting feature about this location is the space and lack of room in the seating areas. The tables and chairs follow one wall opposite the coffee bar. But there's only enough room for five or six people. I also had trouble with logging onto the WiFi and when your by yourself, its a bit unnerving to leave your "stuff" anywhere unattended to ask about the password for WiFi. Why isn't it listed on the wall or something? This isn't just La Colombe but whole host of coffee shops and its getting to be extremely annoying.

    Worth a trip!

  6. 3.5-4 stars. Cute swanky little coffee shop in the FiDi. It's never super crowded (at least I haven't experienced it) and seating is just simple wooden tables along an L-shaped bench (room for about 10-12ish people).

I tried the tartine (the tomato and basil was actually delicious!) and the cappuccino. I'm not really a coffee connoisseur so can't really comment on the latter but I thought it tasted fragrant and on the bitter side.

Good for a quick snack or casual meeting with 1-2 other people if you're in the area!

  7. Until my visit today, I have not been a fan of La Colombe coffee and could really say it has been my least favorite coffee in the city. Ouch, I know, BUT..!!!

…. !!!! My visit today to this Wall Street location by far exceeded my expectations when it came to service and the product.

I was blown away by both and am super grateful and feel lucky that I don't have to walk but out of my jobs front door, to the next store front for my daily cup of coffees. (insert prayer emoji hands)

  8. This is definitely a place for hard core coffee lovers. I just happened to be in the area and wanted a drink to warm me up. Unfortunately, they did not have a Chai Latte, so I had to settle for a hot chocolate. I was unpleasantly surprised by how much I did not like it. Extremely bitter and slightly chalky taste to it. They will either have to get a mix that's not so bitter or make the drink with more milk to make it creamy.  Not opposed to returning and trying other drinks.
