Yessss finally! I've found a better Colombian bakery on the Avenue . They have the spicy red sauce for the empanadas and the pan de Bono is better here . It's not greasy at all . The coffee was disappointing however . The lady serving us was nice though . I bought a 6 pack of mini dulce de Leche here for July 4th and if was a hit with the family . The pack was $6 so not bad. I saw they have hot food as well so will go back to try . The place looks clean and seems authentic Colombian . I am willing to make the trek here Cus they have the sauce I like for the empanadas but it's spicy ! So beware if you can't handle spicy .
One employee behind the counter in this busy bakery is just not adequate. As she shuffled too and fro, pouring coffee and picking pastries the undefined line kept growing. While I was anxiously waiting, I peered to the far end of the counter and behind the glass were trays hot trays of lunch options being set in place, so a return trip for lunch is on my calender.
The beef and chicken empanadas were the size of Twinkies, golden brown crust and with two half shot glass sized hot sauces, I was off. Four empanadas and a cheese filled pastry and it was little wonder why I over ordered and over ate.
