You ever pass by a place and say, "We should go there sometime"? Then, say the same thing every time you pass it? Yea, well I've been saying that for literally a year! The only thing that was causing my omnipresent procrastination, was the fact that it's a" cash only" restaurant. Well…. I guess I'm going to start carrying cash on me, because my meal was bangin. The good news is I won't have to carry much. For four tacos and a glass bottle Coke it was only $10!
We were the only white people eating here, so if there's any question about Mexican authenticity, that right there, should answer it.
They have a separate room for the dining area, which is a little on the divey side, but still worth it for the food. I noticed most of the business is take-out, which sees to be theme for a majority of the resturants on Main Street in Butler.
I ordered the Lengua Tacos and the wife ordered the Bistec Tacos. Both the tacos were absolutely delectable. Plus, they were not cheap with the meat like other nearby Mexican resturants.
Wow I don't know how this place stays in business with the amount of food you get for your buck! I ran in her last week to grab some take out. Got the steak and onion dish. It was a generous portion and came with rice, beans, and homemade tortillas for $9!! I also asked for an order of empanadas which was maybe $3. How could you go wrong? Small dining room with a TV. I assume they do mostly take-out. When I got home I unpacked the food and found they had also given me salt, pepper, utensils, napkins and 2 different types of salsa. Also when I opened up the container with the empanadas they were on a bed of lettuce with half of sliced avocado and queso fresco sprinkled on top. I'm all about nice presentation. Food was good too. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items!
