A beautiful Lady M boutique tucked away in the lower level of the Rockefeller Center Concourse. Awash in white with what seems like a sea of cake choices, this Lady M will stimulate your taste buds!
They sell the cakes whole or by the slice ($8-$10 per slice) and they carry about 7-9 different varieties. The crepe cakes (original, green tea and coconut) are their signatures but the other cakes are just as lovely.
The strawberries shortcake is everything you would want – fluffy, delicate, not too sweet and chock full of beautiful strawberries.
Worth the clams for the occasional indulgence.
I was walking around looking for something to do and eat at the concourse, underground at Rockefeller Center and I spotted the Lady M Boutique, and I knew then what I had to have, Yes another slice of the Green Tea Mille Crepes cake.
A yes It was so yummy tasting with a light Green Tea flavor pastry cream between about 20 plus layers of thin crepes covered with powered Green Tea. Each bite felt like eating creamy air but it will still fill you up if you do a whole slice by yourself.
This is the smallest Lady M I been to, they don't even have the customary open top display case. you select your cake from the tablet and it's retrieved from the under the counter drawer.
And it's strictly to-go since there is no seating area inside or outside the store unless you walk to the other end of the concourse were they have public seating.
They also had a item I did not see before and that was these little Chocolate & Vanilla mini pound cakes at $3 each. They do taste good and are rich with butter has an ingredient, but if that is all you are having you need to get about 3 or 4 of them. And yes they do go good with a coffee.
I got some just to try but I think they are to pricey for me to have again for $6 I can get a Entenmann's pound cake that taste just as good and a little less rich and have plenty to have for days and share.
Had the matcha mille cake and it is AMAZING. Definitely lives up to the hype, it is TO DIE FOR!
-1/2 star for the bad location…the location is a bit hard to find b/c it's underneath the street level and another -1/2 star for the crappy service. The ladies helping us were super rude/curt. Will def be back though regardless to get my lady m fix in!
I'm a huge fan of Lady M and when my friend told me, they opened up a small shop downstairs in the Rockefeller concourse, I had to go! It's very small with no seating and has a limited menu with maybe just 8 flavors. My beloved green tea crepe was there and that's all I cared about. There was no line when I went today and the man operating the cashier was very friendly. I tried a bite of my friend's almond sponge cake and although it was good, definitely not as good as my green tea crepe cake. She agreed as well. I'm glad there's now another dessert place for me to satisfy my sweet tooth with when I'm in the area.
