Yeah, I concur. This pop up concept is disappointing. We ordered pretty much everything available and unfortunately everything came out semi-cold which makes me think they do a big batch of cooking and then just serve as people come in. Thank god we ate a (pre) dinner at Porsena while waiting for space to open up at Lakh Lakh.
This is a pop up at the porsena extra bar that started this fall on Mondays. I'm not sure when this ends.
Arrived at 830p and got seated around 930p at the bar. By the time we were seated, a number of items were already sold out including the filo of the day and dessert. Was bummed bc chances of coming back was slim considering the lengthy wait.
The dishes are meant to be tapas style, and boy were they. My companion made a comment that comparably, porsena had much larger portions and most dishes were a hit. So, yeah. Imagine sitting there starving and hearing the clinking of well fed patrons next door, after having ordered the entire available menu.
Of the dishes we ordered, the lamb stew was the tastiest. Out of desperation I had the feta. It was creamier than most and tasted good wrapped in the herbs.
I thought it was a sweet touch when the chef came out at the end of the meal to each dining party.
Good news- you can order dessert from porsena. Olive oil cake w lemon curd ftw.
