  1. Appreciate the ease to get on the spot reservation on Open Table; this is second time I've come here.
Service was good but one area where server, Neil, failed was he  knew I ordered Boudin Noir incorrectly.  I said Boudin Blanc, he should have said is was not white, it was black and he should have questioned if I realized it was made with blood! He graciously said he would have changed my order when I drew his attention to this,  but I felt daring to continue to have a new culinary experience.  It was good so I didn't  mind.
The Salmon Tartare was the best I have ever had! I now know what it means to "taste the ocean"! This is the freshest fish I have ever tasted!
My cocktails were inconsistent in taste so I was disappointed.  I started with a Dark & Stormy but due to a displeasing taste they graciously offered me a different choice. The burnt orange negroni is very good.
Dessert was fun I had the homemade Lemoncello with lemon tart.  Both were excellent.  The tart had a very yummy buttery taste and excellent lemon tartness!  The Lemoncello was good. This was a good end to a very tasty meal.  Plus I have a good take home of the leftovers!
Of all the Chopped judges restaurants,  this remains my second favorite! Marc Murphy you do SEASON WITH AUTHORITY!

  2. It's not every day that my family & I eat at a fine dining, upscale restaurant. We came to have lunch at LandMarc before we went to watch the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City (yes, I'm late with this review).

LandMarc was quite dark inside, but definitely an upscale atmosphere and the window seats gives you a great view of Columbus Circle & Central Park. The staff were friendly and helpful. We all ordered individual entrees and a few appetizers/side dishes to share.

For appetizers we ordered the Roasted Marrow Bones, Grilled Octopus, French Onion Soup, and Brussels Sprouts with Bacon.

The roasted marrow bones was accompanied with onion marmalade, grilled country bread, and fig jam. I'm not a huge fan of bone marrow, but these were excellent and full of flavor! My boyfriend ordered the French onion soup and it was delicious and full of beef-like broth. The grilled octopus was delicious, full of grilled and charred flavor, and not overcooked at all. The Brussels sprouts with bacon was yummy! The Brussels sprouts were sauteed just perfectly and the bacon was had a nice crispy-ness to it.

My boyfriend ordered Steak & Eggs which looked really vibrant and tasty! His dish also came with home-fries and a watercress salad. The steak was cooked just the way he likes it – medium well. The home-fries had a little spice to it.

I went with the Seared Scallops with Polenta & Mushrooms because it sounded fantastic. The scallops had nice pan-fried-ness on top, but eating it wasn't pleasant because there were instances where I was biting into sand and it gets worse. Well when I was eating the scallop, the texture felt undercooked and later on that evening,I felt very sick and woke up the next morning feeling  unwell. The next day I felt like I had no appetite and ended up vomiting and realized I had food poisoning from the scallops. Luckily my mom only had 1/2 a scallop so she didn't end up with the damage, I did. It took a few days to finally feel better.

I really wanted to like LandMarc mostly because it's a celebrity chef restaurant, but the very fact that I had food poisoning from the scallops and not to mention the fact that they had sand in it just wasn't a pleasant experience for me. I may return for a second chance, but I will most definitely not order the scallops and make sure my food is properly cooked again.

  3. Sat at the bar and our bartender was so attentive and friendly. I ordered the muscles with butter and bacon and of course they were amazing, everything is amazing when cooked with butter and bacon.

The pate was also seriously great.
Overall I was skeptical about this place since it's just a mall restaurant but it truly is so much more than that.

  4. We had an amazing dinner here from a recommendation by the concierge at the Hudson Hotel and loved it. The atmosphere in the evenings is low light and romantic, but at the same time busy and upbeat. It may look like a place to dress up to go to, and you can, but casual wear is perfectly acceptable.

There is a large bar area, and this seems to be a place where people come for happy hour after a long day at work to have a drink and relax. They only take reservations for parties of six or more, but getting a table was not a problem during the time that we went.

The service here was professional, courteous and friendly. We were first seated in a booth next to the window facing the mall, but when we asked if we could move, there was no problem at all and we were able to pick our table.

The steak that I ordered came out cooked to perfection. The Bearnaise sauce was an extraordinary complement to the steak. I would definitely pair it with french fries if you can. They have some great desserts, but my favorite is the crème brulée.

So, take our advice and head to Columbus Circle, go to the third floor of the Time Warner Building and give it a try. We will definitely be back again! If you are in NYC and want to have some of the best Filet Mignon with Bearnaise sauce, you have to visit Landmarc!

  5. Stopped here for a dinner meeting.

Service was as is expected for this location. The meals were well put together allowing flavors to blend perfectly. It was really slow for a dinner rush but it was great for talking. At one point the section behind us was shut down and we didn't notice.

Tried the niçoise salad (Amazing!!!!!) and crème brulée dessert (enjoyable).

  6. Very nice place with average food. The menu here is an array of things and everything is way over priced. Prepare to spend $25 on a omelette with a side of salad and $4 for an English muffin (for $4 you can buy a whole package of muffins). Average price for a salad is $30. If the food was out of this world it would be worth the money, however the food is nothing special.

I visit this place quite frequently because it's conveniently located for me and a corporate favorite, but it's not my first choice of places of eat. My favorite thing on the menu is the smoke mozzarella and ricotta fritters. They come 4 to an order and with a side of marinara sauce.

  7. A friend took me here for lunch. It was my first time here even though I work in the area. We got a table with a great view of Columbus Circle. I ordered the lamb burger with fries. It was very good. Unfortunately, it's all I can base my review on. Our waiter was not the best if I'm being honest. He seemed miserable. He asked us how our food was before we even took a bite lol. We all have those days. I would come back again.

  8. Came here for brunch:
Pain Perdu – very fluffy and delicious
Berries – fresh strawberries and blackberries
    Steak sandwich – good
Cavatelli with liver and bacon – pretty good minus the bacon
