Adorable bakery that has 7 layer cakes, tiramisu, flan, tres leches, fruit tarts, along with many variety of pastries all which are decorated very beautifully however I just settle for the coffee here. The coffee is good enough for me and does it's job with the caffeine. The workers here and sweet just like the bakery items. Great contribution to Bergenline along with those customers that have a sweet tooth.
This place is really cute and has a great, fun vibe. The cafe is light, airy and open. Unlike so many other cafés, people aren't chained to their laptops. There's plenty of lively conversation and upbeat Spanish music.
My husband and I ordered the cafe con leche and it was on point! I also ordered the membrillo y crema (guava and cheese), and my friend ordered the cheese Danish. The membrillo was fresh, flaky and delicious. My friend really enjoyed her Danish.
The ladies behind the counter were really friendly and helpful. I was overwhelmed by the selection, and one woman was kind enough to suggest a few desserts to me when I said that I was in the mood for something with fruit. I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to coming back here again!
Been to this new location twice and I'm in love! I keep forgetting to take pictures of the yumminess going on in this cafe. The inside is super cute and cozy. It has a very artisan look and feel to it.
I've had their pastelitos de carne and the ham and cheese empanadas. I must say best bakery pastelitos ever, they even got mine beat hehe. For dessert I've tried the fruit tart which has a light custard cream and variety of fresh fruit on top. And the peach slice cake which has a Chantilly cream, merengue,and fresh peaches. They also serve sandwiches, quiches, sweet breads, cookies pastries, etc. They do cake orders for special occasions. **update : their cafe con leche is awesome. They ask how many sugars and finally mix it in for you, perfect.
Overall a place I would keep coming to, the staff is friendly and bilingual. The atmosphere is welcoming and the music is delightful. Please go by and enjoy!
Note **street parking can be tough, and it's meter parking. Well worth the trip just don't forget to put quarters in the meter!
