  1. Food is amazing!!!! I've had the roasted chicken and roasted pork with red rice and beans. I honestly died and went to heaven. The "large" is huge and lasted me for days! I also tried the chicken and beef empanadas, which were nothing special. It was too doughy for my taste. Also, the woman at the register ( Mara?) was very helpful and answered all my questions and recommended other food I should try. Def recommend this place!

  2. Best rotisserie chicken hands down ! They serve the usual Dominican food dishes, mondongo, mangu, pernil, chicken stew, rice, beans etc… But the chicken uff so delish

  3. This place just opened, my husband found it while on a mission to find good Spanish food in Staten Island. They deliver which is awesome, and they have great lunch/and family dinner deals.

The restaurant is very big, it's a sit yourself place, they have a counter to order, and you see the hot/cold food there, you order first, pay after, and they bring the food to your table.

Everything looked & smelled delicious, they have rice, pernil, beef stew, chicken, at least a variety of 15 different foods, they also had more on the menu.

We ordered the pernil, which was delicious! Tasted homemade, wasn't dry at all, skin wasn't as hard as I like so she didn't add any to the plate. She made sure to dip each piece in the juice before putting it on the plate, which I love!

The rice & gandulas was also good, we shared a side order of beans, always tasted homemade, plenty of seasoning.

Pricing is responsible, not expensive for delicious food.

I will definitely be ordering from here, they also do catering.

  4. Had the pleasure to stumble upon this restaurant by chance while staying at a bed and breakfast around the corner.  Walkable dining options were pretty limited in this general area so discovering this place was a blessing.  I actually dined here twice – inside and once to go.

Each time the place was completely empty except for the employees.  I don't know if they are just that new that the public doesn't know about them yet but they should.  My first to go order consisted of an empanada and flan, as I just wanted a light meal.  The empanada was made fresh while I waited and was milder in flavor then I am used to but not greasy.  The flan was yummy and surprising cheap – at only $2.25; a surprise for such a time consuming treat!

The next night I brought the Mr and we dined in.  It was hard to decide what to select as a buffet of items are neatly on display and tempting our taste buds.  I settled on a platter of rice, beans, and pulled pork, while the husband ordered a cold pasta salad dish with tuna.  The portion size of my platter was ample enough for us to share and have some left over.  The pork was on the dry side from what I'm used to back home but the beans were the best PR beans I had anywhere!  The Mr was equally happy with his cold pasta salad which I did not sample.

While dining a few people did come in and get take out.  Looking around we were both impressed with the cleanliness of both the dining area and food station.  A TV was on to a sports station as well as a play list of Spanish music – not overwhelming but just loud enough for this type of establishment.  It was decorated in subtle Spanish fashion – not overkill but just enough.  There was a cold case with beverages and Spanish style desserts.  I regret not getting one of my favorites; tres leche cake to go.  The price was again unreal at only $2.25!

The neighborhood itself is a bit seedy but I've walked that block twice alone in the early evening before dark without incident.  Parking is what you would expect from a NYC borough – street parking which is touch and go.

Portion size, pricing, variety, cleanliness, and friendly service makes this place exceed.
