The interior could use a touch up, but I like it "rustic." There's a few high chairs for sitting and they're quite busy. Many cars pulling up every 5 minutes and taking off with their takeout. I recommend you do the same.
I ate the Oreo + Red Velvet waffles w/ fried chicken breast. Let's begin with the waffles: SOOOO FLUFFY SO TASTY with the right amount of flavor, little hints here and there. I'm thankful that they allow you to mix flavors of waffles.
Now onto the chicken breast : JUICY TENDER MOIST. Perfect crisp on the outside. NOT overcooked NOT soggy. FLAVOR IS ALL THE WAY THERE.
LETS NOT LEAVE OUT THE SYRUP: it's delicious.. I will figure out what's in it soon.
I'm sure their non-American food is just as great if not better… All the Jamaicans and islanders coming in, go for the classic West Indian meals. Next time, next time!
First off I'm just giving this place 2 stars because you usually don't get a choice on the flavor of your waffles. That's about it. The place is conveniently located in a residential and commercial neighborhood. Though this place was recommended, I do not recommend this place at all, only if you're starving and all of the other West Indian restaurants nearby are closed. I ordered the following: chicken w/ buttermilk and red velvet, oxtail w/ rice and Mac -n- cheese. Now here's my opinion: the chicken was dry, the red velvet tasted like a muffin, the oxtail could've been better and the Mac -n- cheese was very oily. Though the service was rather prompt, the food leaves a lot to be desired.
