  1. I love Pain quotidien and was looking forward to brunch. This location was simply awful….we sat down and had no waters, ordered coffee and boiled eggs and after 30 min we still didn't have water or our food. When we asked them, we received 3 eggs instead of 4 (2 each) and they were completely raw. They apologized and said they could offer us a frittata but by then we had waited over 40 minutes so we decided to go. My husband went to use the bathroom and found blood all over the place. The manager apologized and didn't charge us for the coffee but we will never come back to this location

  2. Fresh & healthy food.

Is it a bit over priced & is the service slow? Yes.  But I must say that I have never had a bad meal here.  Everything is just SO tasty, well presented, and taste like it is homemade.  If I had the budget, I would be lunching it here every day!

  3. After I had the Organic raw gluten-free granola (crunola with coconut-cashew butter, banana and seasonal compote), breakfast bowls suddenly became my new favorite meal. I'm even having these for dinner now. 😛

The Organic coconut & chia seed pudding is very good. Creamy coconut mixed with chia seeds and topped with fresh raspberries.

I like that their Belgian Hot Chocolate can be made with almond milk. The milk is thin and unsweetened.

They also have a Seasonal Specials menu.

Hot chocolate – Belgian hot chocolate (almond milk)
Size: regular served on a tea cup
    Taste: unsweetened
    Temperature: warm
Texture: liquid thin doesn't feel rich

  4. We knew we wanted something light to eat for lunch, so our first inclination was to see if there was a Le Pain close by.

We got there right around noon on a Saturday. It wasn't packed, and they had the "Seat yourself" sign out, so we moved to the back of the restaurant and chose a table for two near the windows, but out of the sun.

Our waitress stopped by soon after to take our drink order (Cafe au lait for him and an iced latte for me) and we started looking at the food menu.

While I knew I wanted something light, I was afraid that I'd be stymied by the sheer number of bread-based items on the menu.

I eventually decided on one of their specials, a ham, gruyere and spinach frittata. My husband went with their white bean salad.

My husband had actually had that salad once before, so he knew what to expect. He did enjoy eating it again this time, and liked his drink as well.

For myself, I was surprised by how small the iced latte was (they serve hot drinks in a dang bowl, and the iced drinks are so tiny in comparison!), and felt that the frittata was a bit too dry. It had good flavor, but it tended to get stuck in my throat after chewing.

Still, it filled a need, and we didn't end up spending too much money on a light lunch. I do still wish they had this chain in my neck of the woods.

  5. Stopped in to grab a quick coffee. They don't have the largest coffee selection, unfortunately. They do have a good selection of baked goods and sandwiches. Great and quick service. Large and clean. Lots of seats.

  6. After giving up on the idea of meeting at Pennylane Coffee, a friend and I met at this LPQ today.  We arrived at about 3:30 p.m. and we stayed for more than two hours, which was made possible by the very generous amount of seating and also the non-mealtime hour.  My friend had already ordered coffee before I arrived and I didn't realize that, so I ordered coffee at the front counter.  It turned out that the guy taking care of my order was the manager and he was SUPER-nice; he was incredibly friendly and personable.

The server who took care of my friend's order was very pleasant – and the interior of this place is very attractive, with an "open" feeling and large windows on both sides.  My coffee, however, was very mediocre-tasting and too weak.  However, the price was reasonable ($2.78 with tax for a small size cup).  Two couples sitting near us ordered salads that looked really good, so I'd like to return for a meal.

  7. I really liked this place. We needed a very quick breakfast before heading out. The waitress told the chef we were in a hurry. Everything was really quick like we asked. I enjoyed my organic steel cut oats. My husband liked the frittata. Very good service.

  8. This place is the reason why I fell in love with avocado toast. I seriously ate it, couldn't stop talking about it, went back the next day and ordered it again… Wouldn't stop talking about it still… Then looked up how to make their avocado toast and citrus cumin salt–which ended up being in their website! (Literally lemon zest, cumin, sea salt and red pepper flakes!)

Their AT has their signature citrus cumin salt and chia seeds on there. I don't know what I have been eating all these years, but my hand to Jesus–I still to this day (it's been over 2 weeks) cannot stop talking about that DAMN AVOCADO TOAST.

I like the bakery feel. Loved that you can get fresh squeezed and seasonal juices! On the two days I went, the first day was their last on summer juices, and I had a watermelon, cucumber cooler and then the next day, I had something fall-themed. Yeah, obviously memorable but you know where my mind was on that 2nd day…

I rest my case. I dream of the day I can go back and devour another order.
