  1. Since it is a franchise, any of Le Pain Quotidien will serve the same products and food wise I can't complain much. I always liked the cheese and charcuterie platter and the one with the quinoa and things… Don't remember the name of anything…
For some strange reasons, every single one of these restaurant are the incredibly noisy. People talk extremely loud, and it doesn't help that you are piled on top of each other. There is no room between tables, and of course the communal table is an invitation for being loud.
But overall I like their bread and sweets. You don't have to eat there, you can take it on the go and the bakery is usually of a very good quality.

  2. Le Pain has always been a favorite of mine for breakfast. One of my favorite is the AVOCADO TOAST. I enjoy stopping by here when I walk to work. ENJOY!

  3. This visit was SO bad that I was reminded by my companion that our last 3 trips to Le Pain Quotidien have all ended up in disappointment and I should probably stop going there.  Goooooood point, sometimes I'm a bit forgetful on places I've once had a fond memory of…

The service is ridiculous.  This is really one of those very rare, very few times I was tempted to leave no tip – waited 20 minutes for a menu with everyone walking past us, had my hot chocolate and food just thrown and dumped on the table (hard enough it spilled from the rim, no "here you go" or any sort of acknowledgment that you're not invisible whatsoever, even when you polite say "thank you"), the ONLY thing that came fast was the cheque as in "Please GTFO".  Seriously, it was so empty we were one of the ONLY 3 tables at this place too and it's that bad?

I'll remember this time, erase the once upon a time fond memory I had of this place and NEVER again.  NEVER, EVER, AGAIN

  4. It's the same as all of the other LQPs. It's good food and reliable. However, like all of them, the price is high, the service is slow, and the portions are small. But them bread is good and I love bread!

  5. Ok so I think people need to calm down on the wait time. This isn't Mc Donalds, the food is made to order and always presented beautifully. Best thing about it- it's ORGANIC! It does take a little while to prepare. It does not take the friendly wait staff more than 30 seconds to get you a menu once you're seated, unless it's crazy busy and even then they're on point. I've eaten here a few times and the staff have always been really nice and helpful. From what I've eaten the menu is delicious. The quiche is my favourite. The breads with the boiled eggs is so good I always have to order a second side with no problem. The spreads on the table are worth a mention too- especially the dark chocolate noir! The pot of tea could use an extra tea bag but to be fair I could have asked but didn't. All in all, perfect place for a lunch date, if you're in a hurry get your food to go, I've seen people in and out rather quickly.

  6. Let's start with the highlights: the food at LPQ is fresh and high quality, the restrooms are clean, and the restaurant interior has a rustic feel. The outdoor patio was a lovely place to sit for an early dinner at 6:15, weather permitting.

I ordered the Prosciutto, Pear & Fig Tartine for dinner– its texture was varied and its savory and sweet taste complemented each other well. I wish it filled me up a bit more, though, considering that it cost me more than $10.

Tip: Be aware this place charges $3.75 for each bottle of still. I wish my waitress told me and my friend this when she asked us what type of water we wanted to drink when she first came to our table. We didn't know about this charge until we got the check.

  7. 3.5 stars. My first time inside this massive chain! This Flatiron location is extremely spacious. There's seating outside, on the first floor and also on this giant second floor. I ordered the raspberry lemonade, which came with actual raspberries inside (thought this was a unique touch).

They have plenty of options on the menu and it seems like a great place to study or work/stay for a few hours chatting casually with a friend. The only thing that kind of bothered me was how slow service was.

  8. $5.17 for a small iced latte that tasted mostly like milk.
I've eaten at several of them. The food is good. Nothing more than that. Just good. But the prices are high for food that's overall unimpressive.
