Le Pain Quotidien – Roosevelt Field

“LPQ is located right next to Neiman Marcus, and has a hip wooden look, with a cafe in the front and a restaurant in the back.”

“One time I went in after a long day at work and just wanted a smoked chicken and mozzarella tartine (amazing btw).”

“Kumalo was an awesome waiter, very kind and attentive – and super smiley 🙂 The manager Jack also went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied.”

  1. The tartines here are awesome! Must try. When I first ordered it, I thought to myself, okay? What's the big deal…toast with some toppings? No, try it. …..I'll wait!

Definitely download the app before you come for lunch, or breakfast, or whatever it is that you're having. You get a free tartine just by paying with the app, you also get "points" every time you use the app to pay + you get a free treat after a certain amount of visits.

The wait is a little bit long… But the food makes up for it.

Deduced 1 star for the wait, on a few occasions.

  2. Great addition to Roosevelt field mall!!! This place is clean eating at its best. There's a plethora of organic and natural treat, beverages and entrées.  I just picked up their dark roast coffee because it's sooo delicious and Organic!  Jack (general manager) was very friendly and courteous.  Love that they even have alcoholic beverages! 5-grain bread is yumdeliumcous!!!

  3. The Breads! The Quiche! The Tarts! The Cookies!

I can now rave about my favorite NYC place now in Nassau county. In the mall parking lot no less! Lets see how the nice folks from Nassau County react when they learn about the dining room seating rules that's only for restaurant patrons and not take out peeps.
*order a coffee and a muffin then sit in the dining room. You'll get chased out

Ah, it's all good. For now, Lets talk about Le Pain Quotidien. And how the heck do you pronounce the name? I never saw this name anywhere on Flatbush Ave ha ha

Picture the best cakes, cookies and soups, made fresh and ready for purchase. A warm, freshly baked croissant with fresh squeezed orange juice or how about breakfast & omelets all day long?? I LOVE the fact I can get an omelet for anytime of the day.

I stopped in today to get my favorite drink, a mint lemonade. Freshly squeezed lemons, its amazing! When you're finished you can save your cup with the mint and fill it all day long with water. Mint water!! *Its my invention, I've been doing it for years in NYC.

Today I ordered a Quinoa and Tabbouleh salad. Very light. Very French. Very ooh la la! Served with two slices of organic bread, it was a great lunch. Total price with drink: $17.94

Now you can look at this place and say what the heck, that's a lot of $$ for lunch. Or you can indulge in a nice, quite spot that has the best coffee, cookies, muffins, sandwiches, omelets or my personal favorite, a ham & cheese croissant. Trust me this is not fast food, its quality food. I took my to go salad and sat outside in the garden area outside in the parking lot. I should knock off a star for that move but my minty lemonade is now accessible to me and my salad was pretty kickin'.

Le Pain Quotidien Garden City, this is a start of a beautiful friendship. I'll be back tomorrow for a ham & cheese crossiant. Then coffee and a big cookie. Then..

  4. Ordered catering from this location and got good service. The mini croissant sandwiches were great, the salmon one was my favorite. They didn't have the mini pastries so had to make a substitution and the half and half for coffee leaked in the bag so we had to find other napkins, but thankfully the food was wrapped securely in plastic. Overall a nice experience and good value.

  5. Can't sit inside…only for table service…Waaaaa ??? The branch that I'm used to in the city has ample window seating to enjoy your tea/ coffee and take a moment to refresh. This location has a few cozy club chairs that sit almost in the hall of the new wing. Ok, maybe next time I'll order tea at the table.

  6. I love LPQ. I had a free tartine coupon for downloading the app, and I could not wait to use it. I ordered the salmon tartine and my husband got the french toast. The tartine was good with fresh salmon and chives. The french toast was good as well, not amazing. The side fruit (blackberries, strawberries and blueberries) was very fresh and added color to the plate. Unfortunately, our meals did not fill us up as the portion sizes are small. Overall, the meal was average, I think other options on the menu are better.

I am giving it 3 stars for this particular location because the service was lacking. It took too long to get our first glass of water, because no one helped us! The waitress seemed annoyed with our visit. I did not have most pleasant experience in a very calming atmosphere.
On a side note however, this place would be an amazing study spot!

  7. I am a regular here and I ALWAYS leave with a satisfied belly and a huge smile on my face. This is my go to whenever I am hungry. The only restaurant around the area that serves fresh and enjoyable food. Pay now and save later! Also, with their app you collect rewards which are pretty sweet deals. The app kinda tracks what you usually order so that your rewards can be similar to what you like to eat (not just random things!) I will forever be a loyal costumer of Le Pain.

I do have to agree with some of the other reviews that the service can be slow at times. However, the food makes up for it. I always pay through the app so I don't have to experience the wait at the end and I also get my rewards! Stop by!

  8. wandering around the mall today waiting for my hubs to get out of eye doctor, I stopped by here to try some hot cocoa. yummy. plus it's such a cute fancy place. about time we get some fancier stuff in this mall! can't wait for Neiman Marcus. I'm sure this place will do even better then BTW… it's sort of lone right now, I wouldn't have even known it was there yet. they have food too, again will definitely have to come back and try more stuff.

some cheap girl came up behind me as I ordered saying not for that price as she looked at menu then walked away…. I guess some people might consider this place expensive, I didn't lol. I mean if you want super cheap go to dunkin donuts… but you won't be getting belgian hot chocolate there 🙂
