A good breakfast is necessary to start a lazy Sunday.
They have perfected all the classic breakfast dishes (omelets, French toast, pancakes, etc.), but many of their dishes have Mexican flair. They now do lunch and dinner so I have a feeling I'll be coming twice as often. The portions won't send you home hungry or broke. Enjoy, this is a true gem.
A new favorite spot, thank you Yelp for helping me find a breakfast, lunch, and dinner place. They have counter service and tables/chairs, TVs around in a warmly and brightly decorated place. Service was friendly, polite, attentive… food was AWESOME.. Prices are reasonable, but can get expensive when you start ordering more than one thing because everything sounds delicious. Coffee is Lacas… I don't know it but it was also delicious
Delicious and fresh. Met Lenora herself, and she recommended some great dishes! Price was reasonable and food was flavorful!
Wow. I've lived down here since 2012, my husband since way before that, and we never ever knew this place existed!
Found it on yelp, and decided to try it today for breakfast.
Got the breakfast quesadilla. Changed chorizo to bacon and skipped beans. Delicious. Perfectly cooked and eggs were fluffy and fresh.
Husband had the chiliquiles. Loved it. The green salsa was spicy and it was a good portion
Small oj is pretty big. They top off your coffee without being prompted.
22 dollars for all of it. No wait and friendly service.
Left a star off because they were full of older people and young children and played popular songs with inappropriate content.
This was a very nice little place in the middle of downtown Keyport, NJ. The food was good. The waiter was very weak on the friendliness scale, but was at least pretty efficient. I think he may have been more pre-occupied with the World Cup which was on during our visit. Nice variety of items on the menu and everything well prepared. If the wait staff made you feel like they were happy you were there, would easily move up into a 4 star rating, but the service was just "ok".
Nice environment and good food! Went to jersey for a business trip. To be honest, not very excited about this place. But this restaurant is a gem in the stone. Very authentic Mexican breakfast.
I went to the Keyport Antique Festival and came here for lunch. My friend had heard such good things about it so we decided to give it a try. My parents came to lunch with us as well. Atmosphere is pretty cozy and staff was super nice. The girls were on top of everything and a guy kept refilling our water.
The menu is pretty big and they serve breakfast all day as well. There was so much to choose from and being super hungry it was hard to make a decision. I, along with my friend and mom, ended up getting a meal on the specials called chilaquiles and chicken. I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't what I expected. Lol. It was really good though and a decent size, enough to fill me but not make me stuffed. The specials also come with your choice of soup or dessert. My friend and I got the chicken and rice soup but it wasn't all that wonderful. It was filled with lots of rice and kinda salty for me. I'm also not one for salt though. With my moms meal she got the dessert which was only flan. She enjoyed it but I'm not a fan of the texture of flan. Wasn't a fan. As for my dad he got the Reuben and he really enjoyed it as well.
I would definitely go here again and try out other items on the menu especially breakfast items!!
Tiny secret of Keyport! A little place that is a huge wow! Leonora's has a great selection of delicious breakfast and lunches dishes. They offer dinner on several nights of the week which is BYOB. You can choose from the basic breakfast or lunch menu or get inspired by their Mexican style dishes. Everything is made homemade with fresh ingredients. I love the guacamole and chips, however it does have cilantro and I'm not a fan of that herb. Been here over a dozen times since we discovered this gem and have never been disappointed. Thank you Lenora you are doing a great job!
We usually eat breakfast or lunch here but tonight had a fantastic dinner. My husband and I had homemade empanadas with green sauce. Wow what a delicious meal!
