It's a Lenny's. You know what it is…
Plenty of seating, clean and convenient location.
Good place for quick and light luch.
I live nearby the Lenny's and sometimes stop by this place for lunch. It is relatively less crowded than other lunch places in the midtown, and moreover, this place is quite spacious so that you can take a seat during the lunch time, which is pretty a rare case in manhattan.
#1 Corned beef with russian dressing is definitely the most popular one; its vegetarian sandwich with avocado is also good. You can choose sliced bread (small size), wrap or ciabatta(medium), or hero(large) size. $8 for the small size is a bit pricey, but it is worth try.
I am a fan of this place for the fast service and tasty breakfast. While it is not easy to mess up my general breakfast sandwich, this place seems to go the extra mile to make sure it is up to par. Furthermore, the muffins and fresh juice add a little something extra to this place. I also find the place to be quite economical. Thanks for reading and enjoy.
While visiting a client last week, I suggested we ordered lunch Lennys was chosen, one gentleman ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken two other gentlemen ordered various sandwiches and wraps, all three said the selections with fresh tasty and very good. I ordered a tossed spinach Caesar salad, the my spinach was fresh, chilled, my salad also came with radishes capers, celery, char grilled chicken, and jalapeno peppers! A very light calorie Caesar dressing on the side created the best salad I've ever had any restaurant. I will return to Manhattan in several weeks I will make it a priority to visit Lennys and get the same salad. Lenny is my boy! Nah, I'm kidding. I have no idea if there really is a "Lenny."
Anyhow, can Lenny's, the mini chain, be the best sandwich shop of NYC? hmmmm….if it was up to me, I'd say yes. I love the sandwiches here and for some reason this location is a lot faster then the others. I got my sandwich in literally 4 minutes.
Now where's my bed.
Ordered catering for a large group during lunch… my only request was that they showed up on time.
Showed up an hour late. Unreliable. Never again.
I got the Lenny. It was a complete let down. It was almost all meat, which was lukewarm, instead of hot like it should be. The cheese wasn't melted and the sauerkraut flavors did not complement the flavors of the meat and bread. As for the bread, I got marbled rye, which was good, but it should have been toasted. Why would you serve a hot sandwich on non toasted bread? The sandwich was around $8 and I would much rather have gone somewhere else to pay less for a better deli sandwich. Completely disappointed.
I love Lenny's! This is one of my regular go-to spots, since I work in the area. The service is always great, you can always find a seat, and it's never too crowded. The sandwiches are a bit expensive, but definitely come with a good portion size of meat and cheese, etc. They have a good array of healthy snacks and make the best salads!
