It is a decent sandwich shop. Had an egg and cheese breakfast on an everything bagel. The bagel could have been more flavorful. Home fries with onions and peppers were hot and freshly cooked.
Two sandwiches (breakfast) and two drinks (coffee and iced tea) for less than $10 in NYC! I would return and recommend for those in the area.
They have a large selection of options, a large dining area by NYC standards, and the place is very clean. You can't go wrong for breakfast in this neighborhood!
Lenny's is a nice addition to the Midtown East lunch scene.
I like that they give you option to build your own sandwich. My avocado, cheese, lettuce, and tomato sandwich on wheat was pretty good.
My colleagues flip over their Italian sandwich.. I don't really get it.
I did love their salad though – it was the freshest salad I've had at a chain place..filled with walnuts, grapes, cranberries, goat cheese — huge portion of the more expensive ingredients, not too much lettuce like ever places.. Delicious!
