sandwiches, salads and hot food options. Clean, convenient and fast. Lots of seating including a lofted seating area above. I am a fan of the lenwich on marble rye.
Pretty disappointed all around. I had stopped in their 23rd street store for coffee and saw the free $7 promo if you download and use their app. The app is LevelUp with a Lenwich skin on top of it.
I went with the "Jim" sandwich and asked for it to be put on an everything bagel. They were out of everything bagels and offered up a whole wheat everything. Fine. Unfortunately there are barely any seasonings on this "everything" bagel. It is also quite small. Perhaps I am just spoiled by Ess-A-Bagel, whose everything bagels are huge and covered in seasonings. More seasonings fall off an Ess-A-Bagel than what you get on a Lenny's bagel.
The sandwich was quite small. Maybe it would be bigger if I didn't ask for it to be on a tiny bagel.
Decent lunch time option in the desert that is the Tines Square area. This one just opened, so the staff is still friendly and it's not too crowded. Let's see what happens in a month.
I have to give credit where credit is due: the veggie sandwich is yummy. Basically a salad on toast. I order it with a slice of sharp cheddar and avocado. #happytummy
While visiting NYC a few weeks ago a friend from Long Island took us to Lenwich.
The one we went to was within a block of Times Square. For that area it was super reasonable.
They had a great variety of sandwiches, including me being able to eat a gigantic mushroom/ciabatta monstrosity (and I mean that in a GREAT way)!
Our food was great and was prepared quickly, and we had 5 very happy people at the end of our meal!
If you're in the area give Lenwich a try. They are chain so I'll probably give another location a try just based on the strength of our visit to this one.
So I've tried the Lenny's by the Garden and now I decided to try the one by my office. I ordered the Lenwich, which has roast beef, corned beef, Russian dressing, swiss, and coleslaw, in a whole wheat wrap. It was around $10. It seriously filled me up and the ingredients went together very well. Ordering was a quick in and out situation. I approve.
Turkey Crack Jack ( on the roll ) – Cracked pepper turkey, pastrami seasoned turkey breast, Jalapeño Monterey Jack Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, a sprinkling of capers and chipotle sauce. Yes, they included capers in this sandwich. They crushed it!
While this may be seen as just a chain for the nyc locals, I thought enough of my sandwich to put it must try again list.
As a first time visitor it was probably a disadvantage coming here during the lunch rush. Large menu and not much time to choose. Fortunately a coworker told me this was one of the better sandwiches.
– Order your soda while you're ordering your sandwich. I missed the memo I guess. I had to add a soda on when I picked up my sandwich.
