  1. I have only done take out for this place; we order here frequently for work.  You can't find a better lunch deal for Latin American food in the area!

They literally fill the lunch container so it's about to burst. Rice, beans, veggies, plantains, and your choice of meat and a drink all for like $8.  It's enough food for 3 meals for me and it was delicious. The workers are nice and the delivery is always fast.

    Definitely a must-try for a lunch spot!!

  2. Oh my god!! There empandas are AMAZING!! They have 3 different kinds, chicken, beef & cheese for only $1.50 each. They are pipping hot, delicious, and crispy. If your on a diet, stay away because you will even see the grease sifting thru that brown bag.

I decided to try the panini sandwich with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and pesto sauce which did not disappoint.  For $5.50 which included a bag of chips was a great lunch deal. Service was great, the young lady was patient, answered my questions and was very polite. They have an array of foods to choose from that can easily be modified to your liking. This place is great when your craving a Spanish meal or a light snack.

  3. Nice cafe on the corner of a busy street bordering Hawthorne and Fair Lawn.  The two young ladies behind the counter were very friendly and took the time to help me decide what I should try.  Being in the mood for lunch (they'll serve breakfast later in the day!) I went with their chicken and beef empanadas, with a side of yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains.  Everything was fresh and delicious and the empanadas were great – Generous fillings and not greasy.  I also had their "bugs bunny" juice.  Fresh from their juicer – apple, carrot with a hint of ginger.  Very good!   Good luck ladies – nice clean, comfortable inviting cafe you have here.   Oh, and there is a small parking lot around the side – helpful.

  4. I like this place, would have given it 5 stars but they do tend to mess up your order and they do take some time. Everything I've had is descent. I love there juicing section. I would rather eat there then have it delivered.

  5. Come and get your Cuban right here. This quaint lil Spanish eatery is the home of an extraordinary Cuban sandwich.

I have a diverse pallet for a wide range of chow. Rarely do I order the same dish twice, but when it comes to the Cuban sandwich I can't fight off that wonderful zest for fresh pork, ham, thinly sliced pickles, melted swiss pressed and served warm on a sub role smeared with mustard & Mayo hmm hmm. And they serve it up as good as it gets.

Clean, priced well and of course they offer multiple typical rice & bean dishes, but if you love the magnificence of the Cuban sandwich the way I do then it is worth it to pop in or drive out of your way to get there.  You will not be disappointed.

  6. Lincoln Grill Cafe is a good place to visit for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.  You get good food for the price you pay, a great bang for your buck!  The inside is simple, yet clean and nice.

I came here for a late breakfast and started off with some empanadas.  I got one beef and one cheese with no complaints from either.  They are a good size at a fair price!  I then got the Latin fried steak and eggs which came with home fries.  Let me tell you, for $9, you get a very generous portion. I try not to overly eat much for breakfast and even took some food home.  The meat was as good as you can get for $8 but do not get me wrong it was satisfying and the eggs were cook well.

What is also nice here is that they got a juice bar which serves some fresh drinks, that also includes shakes and coffee.  I got the "Bugs Bunny " which has carrot, ginger, and apple.  It was a nice drink to have in the morning!

With the great prices here, I would definitely come back to try some of their other offerings and any specials that are available!

NOTE:  This place is CLOSED on Saturdays and they are not open for dinner.

  7. The portions are enormous and the food is okay-to-solid. I'd be happier if the service/communication was better. Given the very few options within walking distance, I'll be giving it another chance.

I called in an order for a calentado. I asked if I could substitute a salad in place of the chorizo and homefries. They said I couldn't, it would be an additional order. I was trying to figure out a substitution that would be acceptable, but I wasn't really getting anywhere. When I tried to clarify the issue in the store, they seemed to get annoyed.

The rice and beans were spicy and had a clear taste of cilantro, and the dish came with a creamy green chile sauce that was delicious. There was a mountain of them. The cheese arepa was topped, rather than stuffed, and it was oilier than it needed to be. It didn't seem worth the calories, so I skipped it.

The salad was a large portion, but the dressing wasn't so great. I'd get it again, for sure, but I'd make sure to have O&V on hand.

  8. I was craving Latin food for lunch and Lincoln Grill hit the spot.  I've enjoyed their empanadas here before but was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich.  It was my lucky day, cause their Cuban panini was delicious. Pressed between the perfectly toasted bread were tender pieces of pernil, ham, pickles, swiss cheese, with a mayo and mustard spread.  The size is about a foot long so it can be shared, but I practically devoured the entire thing.  What a tasty and delightful sandwich.  I also ordered a side of tostones and snuck a couple pieces in and brought the sandwich over the top!

Their empanadas are fantastic too.  Delicious deep fried pockets filled with either chicken, beef, or cheese.  The filling is what sets these babies apart from other empanadas I've had.   The chicken is moist and flavorful.  The beef is not the typical ground beef but tender slices of slow roasted beef that is seasoned well.  It also comes with a side of spicy green sauce or spicy mayo, which is a must in my book.

My family ordered take out so I can't speak for the dine in service, but our order was ready within 15 minutes which is pretty good considering it was an order for 6 ppl.  The prices are extremely reasonable as well.  $1.50 for an empanada, $6.25 for a Cubano.

Overall, a great spot for a Latin lunch and I'm definitely coming back again for that Cuban sandwich.
