Beautifully decorated with an array of products to select from. It is a great neighborhood store to run and grab something quick. My regular purchases from here are the fresh mozzarella, the large Sicilian rice balls and their pizza dough. Cold cuts are always fresh, but have you waiting a bit. The breads are worth a try as well. Hope this store is around for a long time.
I patronize Little Italy Gourmet pretty much every time I take a trip to Staten Island. It's a great little Italian mart serving and selling all the necessities without the hype and crowding of Pastosa.
When it comes to the food I'm especially a fan of their Sicilian rice balls as well as their freshly fried "egg rolls" packed with delicious Italian fixings. Last New Year's I catered American and chicken cutlet heroes and was not disappointed in the product, even though it was a tad overpriced.
While the service is lackluster, I truly enjoy shopping at this little place and highly recommend it to any Italiano or otherwise living on the North or South shore.
