I consider myself to be seriously addicted to breakfast sandwiches, and Little Italy Pizza + Deli is in my top few for the best around!
The bagels alone are enough to make any breakfast go-er happy as a clam. Super fresh and soft bagels in all the right flavors. I always get an everything bagel, which is an actual EVERYTHING, not a sad bagel with a few poppy seeds and onion bits.
Service is always fast and efficient, the grill dude really knows what he's doing behind the counter. The ladies taking care of the cash register are always so kind and welcoming…such a nice addition to a hectic morning on the way to the office 🙂
Ok I caved. I returned. I had the much loved by coworkers chicken parm. Holy DAMN. The chicken was perfectly breaded; crispy outside, tender inside. The melted cheese melted my heart. The marinara sauce was perfectly spiced. The bread stayed crispy throughout the devouring, resisting the sauce's temptation to go soggy. I love it!!! And at $6.50 for a massive hero? I love it even more!
I will definitely be back now for the chicken parm, as well as for the beef brisket sandwich (with gravy!!).
As for my previous review? I still have a gripe towards the awkward pricing. But maybe I'll taste the pizza again sometime. If it still fails me, I'll just stick to their sandwiches!
Good pizza and the sandwiches looked great! Just wasn't hungry enough for a full sandwich so had their pizza. Nice selection and a very New York atmosphere. Not too many places to sit, so it's mostly a take-out place. I would recommend for a hearty lunch anytime you're in the area.
Pizza, sandwiches, breakfast, deli… pretty much anything you want for a quick bite on the run. Stopped in before I jumped on the subway for a slice of pizza which was eh.. ok. I had the one with the fresh basil and mozzarella (they spelled mozzarella wrong on the menu board) I do appreciate that it was very thin and crispy. Not terrible but probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again with all the better options out there
I asked for an egg, cheddar and tomato on rye.
I asked for a medium coffee, skim milk, NO sugar (with the "NO" emphasized cause every place in NYC fucks this up otherwise).
I get it back to the office.
There is no tomato.
There is a lot of sugar.
DISLIKE.
Came in here and some dude was arguing with the man behind the counter. Not sure what that was about. The employee seemed to handle it well and stay calm.
They charge $20 for a whole pie, pricey especially for a quiet part of 6th Ave several blocks from SoHo.
Despite the consequences for my arteries I was about to indulge in a cheese slice but I noticed they require a $10 minimum for credit transactions. That doesn't work in a cashless age. They ought to adopt a payments processor with lower fees (Square is one; I have no affiliation with them).
I passed.
I came here for a slice of pizza after leaving work nearby. It seemed pretty good and the pizza looked appetizing. However, a couple came in after me and was served before me, even though I had already placed my order. It was so rude and I was so offended that I left to find somewhere else to eat. I don't care how good the food is, I will never patronize a restaurant with bad costumer service.
