  1. Solid 3.5, nice place , good people and variety. Just nothing special and the pepperoni wasn't great so that took me to a 3 star. I would go back for sure but will keep searching for the ultimate pizza.

  2. I usually feel bad for my boyfriend considering he works in such a food wasteland, but at least he has Little Italy to get through lunch. I stopped by with him one early afternoon and was surprised by all the options they had. Not only when it came to pizza, but also other food items. They were pretty busy, but a 40 minute wait for some lasagna seemed a bit steep to me. Especially considering they were served in plastic plates. However, it was tasty. Perfect cheese-sauce-noodle ratio, plus they came with bread! I just wish they hadn't taken so dang long. My boyfriend had to scarf it down in order to make it back to the office in time.

While not the most amazing lasagna I've ever had (unsurprisingly), it's definitely good considering the price and location. I probably wouldn't stop by here unless I was nearby and had a time limit, but it's great in a pinch. Head there early, or expect a bit of wait along with a hell of a crowd.

  3. Little Italy is my place to go for Pizza in Manhattan. Its always so delicious and fresh. The line is always long but they keep it moving. Never had to wait more than 10 mins which I don't mind.

  4. Passing by this pizza place, I was hesitant to try it because it looks like any other pizza joint from the outside.  Yelp told me otherwise, so I went in and got a square slice of their grandma pizza (similar to a margharita pizza) for $3.50. I was not disappointed. The pizza crust was thin but very crispy and fresh.

The restaurant has a good line system going that makes the ordering efficient and fast. There is some seating in the restaurant, but not much. Luckily, there's a park just steps away and if it's warm the pizza can be enjoyed outside.

It was so good that now I'm afraid it has set my pizza bar too high!

  5. I had the mozzarella and margherita slice. Nothing to be crazy over, similar to other places, nothing that gave me the wow factor.  Check in for free garlic knots, you get three.  Apparently the guy said anything over $5 gets you free knots.  The knots were okay, could of been more garlicky.

  6. After reading the Yelp raves, I had to check this place out myself.

I ordered one plain slice and one buffalo chicken slice.  The buffalo chicken was outstanding!  The plain slice was just okay.

The best part about visiting Little Italy is using the Yelp app to check in and get free garlic knots!  They were possibly the best garlic knots I've ever had.  Definitely worth buying, even if you don't have the app.

I do wish I could have had my slices hot out of the oven, but when you're in New York, you have to deal with the reheating situation.

    I'll be back.

  7. I tried the fried calamari pizza here. Though when the pizza was re-heated the calamari was not crispy any more, the pizza was very flavored. Definitely my second favorite pizza after the mac n cheese pizza in New York.

  8. I came here on a weeknight around 6pm. They weren't really crowded, 2 other people waiting on orders and maybe 2 groups eating in dining room.

The wait and service was horrible. We had to repeat our order at least 4 times before the guy got it right because he wasn't even listening then when our order came THIRTY minutes later it was wrong! So frustrating! We got 2 calzones. They weren't even very warm on the inside and the sauce that goes with them was watery and not flavorful.
