Little Purity
“UPDATE: The Huevos Rancheros is not on their regular menu but ask for it, it's part of their special menu.”
“Plus, there are nice little touches like homemade salsa verde, homemade french fries, and other efforts that just add a little extra oomph to an already great meal.”
“The manager, Nick, is always incredibly friendly and patient with every customer.”

This place is a classic diner but with a slight brooklyn twist. The twist is mainly that it's significatly less expensive than manhattan and that the waiters did things like offer to melt my sugar so it will blend into the coffee more, or have me pay next time I came. It feels like a more small-town diner in that sense. I got the eggs benedict – the hollandaise sauce was perfect and so was the bacon. Coffee was solid as well. I'll be going back.
Eggs Florentine was spot on. At $10 it's a decent deal for a Sunday morning breakfast.
The more I come here, the more I love Little Purity. The folks that work there are so nice. Breakfast is always solid (if the home fries didn't always come out different, this would be a 5 star review) and the home-made salsa verde is seriously rocking. Burgers are really good and for the price far out-rank all other burgers in the hood except for Johnny Mack's. Fries are always crispy. Next time I'm going for the club sandwich: today I watched with envy the guy sitting next to me with his chicken salad club. Almost reached over and took a wedge.
My 2 visits have gone well. Nothing to complain about, but some to praise, so I feel as though it deserves more than an "A-OK."
On my 1st visit, I had their cherry pie, which was delicious. Lots of crumble all around, and tart cherry flavor… although I do wish there was more filling.
On my 2nd visit, I went with a kid that I babysit, and they were very accommodating. They even have a box of books that kept him entertained and occupied while waiting for the food.
I do agree that the food is slightly expensive for what it is, but I'm attributing that to the area. Everything in Park Slope is slightly more expensive, it seems.
The employees are nice and polite enough, and the restaurant is cozy and clean. Since it's in the area of my work, I'm sure I'll be a frequent diner there.
This is my third review update for Little Purity in the last three years. I went from barely coming here to now, loving this place for breakfast with my family. I use to not be a big fan because I found them slightly overpriced on certain items. While I continue to find some menu items are overpriced (in my opinion) I think this is a fantastic place to come for breakfast. The staff here go out of their way to give patrons a pleasant experience. They are very accommodating to families with infants and children, like mine. The breakfast here is served, hot, tasty and accurate.
I most enjoy that the servers remember us and our orders, they have children's books handy to entertain the littlest of their patrons and how beautiful Little Purty is. Its brightly and naturally lit, and just feels like a warm neighborhood family diner. It is also a nice place to come if your alone or with a friend.
I originally did not like coming to Little Purity too much but then after visiting a few more times they earned my business with their great service.
Pretty decent diner. Not to big but the food seems normal and comes out nice and hot.
I have ordered breakfast and a sandwich from here. The breakfast was cooked to my satisfaction just as ordered. Eggs over easy with bacon and well done home fries.
Coffee was v v good and kept coming until you get a caffeine overdose.
Service was very friendly and polite always love a tall glass of ice water without having to ask.
Never had any problems since I arrive mid morning before the lunch hour. Definitely would return for more.
Generally I like a lot of purity (those people who persecuted Hester Prynne were righteous and I love it!) but somedays, if I'm being a little bit naughty, I only like a little purity.
Hence my review of Little Purity diner. Okay, it's a diner! The service is nice and efficient, the food is good and everyone is friendly. What's not to like? I had a regular burger and the b/f had a veggie burger. Both were good and mine was actually cooked medium like I asked. Extra points for the pickles and cole slaw.
Reliable diner in the South Slope neighborhood; I choose this over Flipster's.
So if you're feeling very puritanical or even a little dirty, Little Purity will fill the bill.
I like coming here but certain things on the menu are not worth ordering. The bacon and eggs sand which is an absolute ripoff it literally comes with two slices of bacon and maybe one egg. It's tiny for four dollars.
