Lobo
“I like this spot better than the other Mexican joints in park slope, so I'll have to be about the 4-stars.”
“When I'm feeling extremely hungry or far from god, I order the Wolf and it takes care of both problems, leaving leftovers for later.”
“Overall the food is legit and the atmosphere is pretty cool.”

Was in the area, and was suggested this place as a good Mexican place. I wasn't looking for fancy, I just wanted some good Mexican grub, and that's exactly what I got.
This place is unassuming and was not crowded at all on a Wednesday 7pm evening. The barkeep is nice enough, didn't feel the need to barrage me with small talk but was attentive when he needed to be. That being said, he did seem chatty with a fellow who was probably a regular, so he could probably sniff me out as an out-of-towner.
The "wolf" combo I got hit the spot.. just what I wanted. Something filling, tasty, greasy spoon like, but not crap. Seattle has very little positive tex-mex or any Mex influence and thus I have not had good Mexican food for many moons! I was glad to get something that reminded me of the Chicago grub from the days when I used to live there (huge Mexican population/influence there)
Margaritas are strong! Happy hour price minus two bucks. A fine establishment.
Ordered:Breakfast burrito and biscuits with gravy
Pros-Fresh. Potatoes were very flavorful.
Cons-Gravy was thumbs down.
I like Lobo. This location and the one on Court street are pretty much alike except that 5th avenue location accepts credit cards while the court street location only does cash. Brunch is pretty good, I've had their huevos rancheros which were pretty good and also the migas. The Margaritas is what I love about the this place. Blood orange is my favorite!
Sat at the bar, served by the delightful Luke, we had a great evening. I don't know what more you can ask for than generous pours and great bar-peeps. So five stars. Didn't try the food.
Atmosphere: Texas bad inspired decor, definitely not for vegans; the benches are animal hides. The place is fun and casual. Clean bathrooms too.
Food: average quality but the extra star is for the price:quantity ratio. A combo plate and appetizer is enough for two to share. The cheese enchiladas are disgustingly cheesy, saucy, and delicious. The free table chips and salsa are good- beware, the salsa is hot. Get some guacamole (huge!) to have along with it and you'll be satisfied.
Okay Mexican place on 5th ave in Park Slope. Great for families, and the food is decent for the prices, but nothing spectacular. We got the brownie sundae at the end and it tasted more like a cake – very light and airy.
Try the nachos. And the strawberry mimosa.
I love people watching. And finding a spot to sit outside, enjoy a cocktail, and watch some what's going on is right up my alley. The price is right for people watching and cocktail grabbing.
Awesome spot with really great Mexican fare and strong ass drinks. Jalapeno infused tequila margaritas for the table, really spicy salsa as a complimentary table treat, and fantastic servers and bartenders who are all really easy on the eyes.
Felt well taken care of here while catching up with college friends. Great vibes all around. The staff is key here because they went to the next level to impress, and they definitely succeeded. The food was dope too. We were amazed after all the entrees and appetizers ordered (including copious amounts of booze) that our table of 8 paid only $40 each.
Can't rave enough about this awesome gem!!!
