I am writing this review as I wait for my food. I have not eaten anything yet but this place leaves a poor taste simply because they use their "we will have your food out within 15 minutes" to convince you to eat here. It's been 25 minutes already. Anywhere else, I wouldn't care about an extra 10 minutes, but when you are in an airport and promise food to be out within a certain amount of time, I expect that to happen. Also, I was the third customer in. Horrible service. Do not come here. Good luck risking your flight time
Fine if you just need a quick and/or solitary meal and only want to interact with an iPad, but this is a pretty middling experience overall. We wanted a soft drink and a bagel and somehow this ended up taking 15 minutes. Just a weird experience watching staff clean the bar while totally ignoring the customers, except for bringing out the occasional iPad order (as the job actually requires!).
Beers on draft looked good, though, and it was clean and modern. 2.5 stars really.
I am a bit surprised at all the bad reviews. As far as airport dining goes, this is pretty good.
You place your order through an iPad and a few minutes later your food is served.
I had the yogurt with fresh berries and honey. It was quite tasty. The coffee was good too.
They have outlets for you to charge your phone or tablet.
OK place to hang before your flight. The seating was comfortable and the vibe was nice.
Good service and by that I mean the iPad was functioning properly (I've had issues with those before).
Food is overpriced and just OK, nothing special.
The atmosphere in this location is really nice. This is a newer looking and newer feeling location that allows you to order your entire meal over an iPad that gets sent into the kitchen and then brought out. The draw back to that is that if you really want a bloody mary with extra olives, or really olives at all since that isn't an add on option you can't until its brought to you and then either brought back or modified. The smoked salmon is so fishy but delicious, it boarders on a fish jerky in my mind. The poached eggs and benedict were cooked to perfection and i couldn't have been happier to relax here instead of waiting in the Starbucks line for 30 minutes. Prices are admittedly, yes, high but what isn't in the airport?
The Loft "concept" is idiotic and infuriating. The staff ignored me until I punched in an order over their clumsy iPad app. The restaurant is operated by a tiny skeleton crew, so service was painfully slow. Moreover, several of the iPads were frozen, requiring staff assistance to unlock and reboot.
I came here to drink, and my $14 Dark & Stormy was flat and poorly mixed. While I didn't order food, the woman sitting to my right waited nearly 40 minutes for a child's portion of fries and chicken nuggets. Seeing as the restaurant was almost entirely empty, this was shameless.
There's a number of better, simpler bars on the concourse, and if you just want a breath of fresh air, there's a rooftop park and dog run across from Gate 28. Go up there, meditate and empathize with the unwitting rubes wasting their money at The Loft.
Terrible
I ordered the home fries and they looked nothing like the picture. We're basically over salted deep fried cubes of potato with no peppers or herbs as advertised
I think they forgot about my order because I waited over 20 minutes for it and people who ordered after me got their food
The server was nice though after I complained and got me a new order with just green peppers tossed in the potato. She said they don't make it look like the picture because a lot of people have allergies
The coffee was good but the bagel was not.
Don't eat here
I actually had some good Eggs Benedict here while waiting for an international flight. I like technology but I am not sure that I am fond of the use of iPads for ordering. There is pretty much no human interaction during your meal. I wanted a refill on my coffee and it a while to get a servers attention. The iPads do include updates on your flight arrival time to give you a sense of how much time you have to order and eat. How much do you tip an iPad?
