  1. I LOVE this place.  I know the line can run out the door and the service can be slow but it is worth it.  NY bagels, NY deli, great stuff.  My sister just moved away from here, 2 miles, but I will make the trek!!
Come here and if there is a line, its ok.  Its worth it.

  2. A few more visits has led to way better experiences here. I've had nothing but fast service, cold iced teas, hot soup and fresh bagels. Really, that's all I ever wanted 🙂 Looking forward to more visits in the future and getting the some solid grub.

  3. These are my favorite bagels in all of LI! We now live in Baltimore, and I make a point to stop here every time that I visit my dad in Long Beach. They are soft, doughy and huge. We love the everything wheat, and always get a dozen to take back with us. They also freeze really well. I am so confused by these bad reviews.

  4. Poor attention to detail describes this place well. I went in on a busy beach day and the store was crowded. My friends and I ordered a few bagels and sandwiches. After I left, I realized they gave me bacon cream cheese instead of the one I had asked for. This wouldn't be as big of a problem if I ate bacon but since I don't it was the start of a bad morning. My buffalo bill sandwich came without hot sauce. It's called "Buffalo Bill" because of the Buffalo sauce people!

  5. The quality of the bagels and cream cheese has gone down a lot in the past few years. The consistency of the bagel is still pretty good, soft middle with a bit of a crunch on the outside. The flavor of the everything is lacking a bit. The cream cheese isn't as fresh. This bagel used to be one of the best in Long Island, let alone Long Beach. It just isn't as good as it used to be. Don't know what happened here.

  6. Part of a (small) chain. I come here for my egg sandwiches – I'm sure there's a better egg sandwich somewhere in Long Beach, but LB Bagel is convenient, esp. if coming in from Lido. Started coming here when I just couldn't deal w/ the disappointing egg sandwiches from Bialystock, over by Gentle Brew. Passable, and does a decent business. Would be three stars, but reliable egg sandwiches are important to me.

  7. If you're going here when most people would (work and wknd mornings), expect a crowd and a long line.  However, don't let the long lines fool you into thinking you'll be waiting forever. With lots of people working behind the counter, the wait won't be too long and is well worth it.  This is not the larget bagel place I've been to, but they accommadate a fair amount of people inside as well as having a few tables outside.  There are so many spreads, salads, and bagels to choose from (which I totally appreciate) and if you don't know what you want exactly, it can make your decision pretty hard, as everything tastes delicious.  The bagel quality is up there and the choice of coffee are as well.  Service is usually friendly, although I suggest knowing what you want when it's your turn.  You can feel rushed or anxious when it's time to order if you're unsure.  They also offer a variety of breakfast and lunch menu options that look god, although I've never actually ordered any.  We usually get side spreads and bagels and have a little smorgasbord at the table.  They also sell some pastries and desserts, as well as lots of drink and chip options.  I love this location of the Long Island Bagel Cafe (formerly the LB Bagel Cafe) and highly recommend it.  It's fun to go with a group of friends and stuff you face while sitting outside here on a hangover Saturday or Sunday morning.

  8. I've been to this bagel spot three times, but I only ordered food from here twice. My second visit was cut short due to the apathy and annoyed demeanor of the person who was helping me. He seemed like it was a waste of his time to figure out the price of my order before I placed it. I was helped by a different person the other two visits and he was nice, though not super friendly at first.

The bacon and eggs I ordered both times were decent, but nothing special. On the bright side, the price for my custom order was the same both times, so that was a pleasant surprise. The interior presents nicely, and the deli items are arranged and displayed tastefully. The line can get pretty long, which isn't a surprise for a bagel place, but there's enough space in there to tolerate it without issues.

The parking lot is a good size for this type of place. There are always a bunch of cars in the lot, but I've always been able to find a space easily and I've never experienced congestion getting in and out of there.

I doubt I'll be back here for my bacon and eggs fix, which is unfortunate since it's in a convenient location during my weekly travels. Time to find another bagel place in the area.
