Went to LongHorn for the first time and I loved it. Honestly, my favorite part of my meal was the complimentary bread they give you. It's so warm & soft with butter on the side! As for my actual meal, I ordered a Ribeye steak – well done with a side of jasmine rice and broccoli and it was so good. Overall, the service was great and the food was delicious.
We went here today for lunch. Prompt service, very accomodating service as my friend was observing pass over and couldn't have calamari with bread crumbs, so they did grilled calamari for us with a fanatastic sweet chilli sauce. My rib eye steak was amazing. Highly recommended
Stopped by cause I needed to hit some of the local stores. Asked for the outlaw ribeye medium rare. It came out rare. If the used heated plates it might have cooked a bit more perhaps. Anyway better than over cooked. Had the salad and sweet potato. Should that meal be $25.49 at a chain place? The good news is Sam's summer ale is back already. #favbrew
Saturday night, My friend and I wanted a STEAK Dinner. Longhorn came to mind because the food was good and didn't break the bank.
(My first experience at this restaurant was for a Yelp elite event in April 2015. Everything was spot on)
We had a 6:30 PM reservation. We arrived at 6:20 PM. The restaurant interior is a cowboy motif. This western theme definitely suits the restaurant.
The place was packed with people waiting for seating. We were told we have a 25 to 30 minute wait despite the reservation. At that point, we didn't know if we wanted to stay. We did find a small table by the bar. The server Kyle came right over and took our drink order. He asked us if we were staying for dinner too. Kyle immediately gave us dinner menus.
I ordered a FABULOUS Red Cosmo. My Friend ordered a YUMMY Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri. After sitting a few minutes at the table, we noticed the people next to us at a lower table were almost ready to leave. My friend asked our server Kyle if we could sit at that table when those people left. Within two minutes, the people started to leave and Kyle immediately moved our drinks and menus to that table.
My friend and I really couldn't decide upon an appetizer. So we just went to order our entrées. I ordered an 8 ounce Flo's Filet (medium) $24.99, the Loaded Stuffed Potato and Rice Pilaf. The delicious stuffed potato had cheddar cheese and chopped up bacon bits. My friend ordered the Steakhouse Burger $10.99 and Loaded Baked Potato too. While we waited for our entrees, we asked for bread. Like a magician, Kyle came right out with warm bread. Shortly afterward, the food came out. My steak fillet was a little bit cooked more on the medium well side. However, it was still very good. All in all, my friend and I enjoyed our entrées. My friend ordered a Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert to take home. She later told me the dessert was yummy!
SCORES:
5 STARS goes to Kyle for excellent service! (I couldn't get over such fast meticulous service on a packed Saturday night)
4 STARS for very good food quality!
TOTAL 4.5 STARS!!!
Longhorn Steakhouse is highly visible from Route 46 W. (AKA: Old Bloomfield Avenue) in Parsippany. A large private parking lot is available.
Always a low noise level place to enjoy some great wild west shrimp..the strawberry lemonade I tried today is very good.
This place is always good to come to. Alley is fun to have serving me. She's the fun and very interactive bartender/waitress. She can suggest good dishes for you if you're unsure what you want. I've been lucky enough to have her each time I've come in here.
Thanks for another nice visit
I came here on a Saturday evening with a friend and the place was packed! We had called ahead to make a reservation, but apparently the woman on the phone said that didn't guarantee us a seat. A bit strange, but I digress. My friend and I decided to wait near the bar area when we saw a table in the bar area that was available. We asked if we could sit there and we did, however, I am a short person, so I normally don't like to sit on those high bar stool type chairs, but since this was the only table available and the wait was 25-35 minutes, we sat down anyway. I tried to make the high chair work, but I just couldn't get comfortable! We asked the server, Kyle if we could move to a different table when the couple next to us was finished eating (they were almost done and told us we could sit at their table when they left) and he said he would move us when they left. From the start, Kyle was awesome! He was so attentive and really seemed to care about us as customers. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, which was huge! We were given a large piece of fresh, warm bread with butter, so we decided not to order appetizers, which ended up being a good decision because the bread was plenty. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger, which I got with cheddar cheese and it came with everything on it. I ordered a Loaded Baked Potato as my side because I really didn't want the fries. The burger and baked potato were absolutely delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. I only ate half of my burger and decided to take the rest of it home to eat the next day. I was looking at the dessert menu and thought the desserts looked good, but I was way too full from my dinner to order a dessert to eat there. I ordered the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake, which is considered to be a "Sweet Bites" dessert menu item because it is smaller than the regular sized desserts. It was truly delectable and just the right size. I would definitely come back to LongHorn Steakhouse because the service and the food were right on point!
This place is really good steak for a good price. It may not be as tender as a steak you can get for $50 but this for around $15-20 you'll get the next best thing. I've been here a couple of times and it's really busy is the evening but this time for lunch, it was empty and they had good lunch specials.
I ordered the 6 oz steak and upgraded for the fire grilled corn. The steak was really tender and moist and I'm glad I went for the corn since its unlike any I've ever had, with Parmesan and butter on it. We also went for the chocolate stampede dessert. This is one hell of a dessert! Six types of chocolate two slices of cake and ice cream but for two people it was even too much. Cake was rich and ice cram was creamy so if you have room go for it.
Had to deduct a point for service although we've had fine service before. The waitress brought over one drink, giggled upon realizing she forgot one drink, charged for a bowl of soup instead of a cup, and forgot to bring back our card after we paid. But this is definteiyl s good location and a good steak.
I have to preface this by stating that I don't do chain restaurants. I cringe when I see someone actually take the time to review one on Yelp. But, this place is fairly consistent with its delivery of big tasty lemonades/margaritas, hot fresh bread and crispy steak and smothered ribs. These aren't Austin or Kansas City ribs, but they hit the spot when you're stuck in the tri-State. I had one terrible experience here a year ago, and the clientele can be pretty loud and annoying at times. Still, I've had some satisfying meals here in the past year. Solid 3
Stars.
