Food carts by daylight differ from food carts by candlelight. By day — the tiny mobile restaurants are for some, a second option verses the traditional store front. At night — our munchie salvation..
As a lover of less than attractive nyc eateries both dumpy and divey, sprinkle in a big pinch of food scout extraordinare , vending is far from a new and unchartered world.
Solid Mexicana —- if the Brits can have Britannia, Mexican food deserves Mexicana as the bell weather name of delicious late night fare served up hot fresh with quality ingredients.

Traditional menu of never selections, this cart is not being something they are not, not showing off.
In a nutshell, the best late — late night food on Austin.
The food truck is here till 3 am, so if you ever have some late night cravings, don't fret they are here to feed you. The tacos are $3.00, and they give you a generous portion of your choice of meat (chicken, beef, pork etc.). Note: they no longer serve tripe. The toastadas for $3.50 were decent.
I've eaten here several times and could say that the service is great, it's the consistency in food that needs work. In more cases the food is too salty for my pallate. Other than that for an inexpensive snack, it's not bad.
Authentic Mexican food! The cescina taco and all of their tacos come with onions and an avocado sauce as well as radish. It is extremely delicious and the smell matches the taste.
I've had a bite out of the torta when my husband ordered it and it was also good. I don't believe you can go wrong with anything you order from this cart to be frank.
What I love about this cart the most is that it is open all day and all night so even though I work late this is always an option. Sometimes it's busy but the food is made fresh so I don't mind the wait.
