Los Pollitos III
“I arranged a brunch for my 30th High School reunion, Brooklyn Tech, Class of 1984.”
“Large, deep dish of yellow rice topped with jumbo shrimps and sautéed spinach was yummy, saucy with tomatoes, red peppers and onions and very good.”
“My lemonade was a slush, which it didn't say on Seamless Web, but I was VERY pleased.”

Pretty sad Mexican restaurant. The food was bland and a bit gummy — just not very fresh. The space was pretty empty and still had Christmas decorations up. Our waitress was perfectly nice, but there was something eerie about this restaurant.
The food is decently priced, not overwhelming in the taste category, and the service is pretty good. I had a shrimp ceviche as an appetizer that could have been my main meal. Very tasty and presented nicely. I will go back for this again. I ordered a burrito for my actual entree and kinda wish that I just had more ceviche. The burrito wasn't terrible, but it didn't make any fireworks go off either. Pretty standard. What I like about this place, is that it's casual, convenient based on where you live and offers non- Mexican options. For example, my brother was able to get a cheeseburger.
I've passed by this restaurant in the summer and noticed that they offer outdoor seating- bonus! I also believe this restaurant has a brunch special on the weekends as well which sounds interesting.
The waiters and waitresses here were sweet and the ambiance was very smooth but the food was not as good. I ordered Salmon which lacked much seasoning, as well as a "Jamaica" juice to wash it down which also didn't taste good. To be honest, I would not expect a spectacular Jamaican style sorrel from a Mexican joint but it did not hurt to try. It actually tasted like powdered drink. I did enjoy the nachos and guacamole though. I would return but only at last resort.
I have seen Los Pollitos before somewhere in park slope but I dont believe I have ever tried it. So the first time I tried Los Pollitos is obviously at the III one and I was a tad disappointed. I love the way in which the chicken was cooked and shredded but I didn't like the taste of it. The restaurant is beautiful and the chairs are really nice. They have a lot of specials and the waitress was nice. I liked how even though they closed at 11 they still let in a party of 4 close to 10:50 to eat and drink. I like when a restaurant is able to be friendly and I think this one meshes well in a neighborhood that is up and coming with a bunch of new restaurants.
