The servers are super attentive. The food is delicious and vegan friendly. Get the vegetarian basil duck! It is so good. The spring rolls and veg curry puffs are a great appetizer as well.
Parking around the restaurant is kind of nightmarish so just be aware of that.
Also, the booth seats are some kind of (hopefully fake) cowhide and super itchy.
Otherwise, the decor is pleasant and great for a date night.
If this is a representation of Thai Cuisine in New Jersey, it'll need some work.
If Chef Buakaew Nartpranin's "impeccable attention to details led her to create the dishes she would proud to serve the King!" she would have to taste the dishes coming out of the kitchen before hand and not serve rice that is undercooked, duck that's unrecognizable and overly salted (special), and dry chicken (Peanut Chicken). The Chicken Pad Thai was fine but could have used a touch more fish sauce.
Presentation is nice, service was nice, and good decor. However if they're going to use Groupon to bring in some new clientele, the quality of food should shine brighter than the dim dining room.
I ordered Seamless for the first time in a long time. This Thai place near my office has spoiled me. I could barely drink the tom yum soup here. It was really salty and the flavor was off. The drunken noodles were really greasy. Don't see myself ordering from them again unless I'm desperate for food…
Decent Thai place. I really like the decor and ambiance inside. On street parking could be difficult to find. Their food here is good but I gave it 3 stars because I've honestly had better. It's the only Thai place in the area though so it's my go to if I have a craving for Thai but don't want to drive too far.
My boyfriend pointed this place out to me while heading to the local bar a few months ago. I have kept this place in my mind ever since. Recently I mentioned it to a friend of mine who said fantastic things about it. I went on Yelp and noticed all of the outstanding reviews, I knew it was time to finally check it out. We went last night at 6pm (Tuesday). We were the only ones in there. The inside is small yet comfortable. A little bit on the darker side with candles on every table which was nice.
We were politely greeted by two ladies behind the bar who told us to sit anywhere. As soon as we sat down, we were handed our menus and we began to look over all of the choices and options we had (trust me there was a lot).
The cocktail menu was interesting. They had tons of virgin drinks available (BYOB). We brought a bottle of champagne and asked for the lychee juice and guava juice. They brought the two juices over in large glass pitchers and two champagne glasses. The combination of the champagne and lychee juice was out of this world! Highly suggest it!
Tang the owner happily introduced himself to us. I showed him a picture of these delicious looking dumplings I saw on Yelp and told me it was not on the menu anymore , however, he was more than happy to make them for is. It was the jade dumpling served with curry sauce and it was just outstanding! We decided to also get two more appetizers to pick on—the chicken wrap and chicken skewers which was served with peanut sauce. All the food was filling and super fresh. Because we were so stuffed from our appetizers, my boyfriend as I decided to skip the entree and go straight to dessert. They have an AWSOME option here where you can choose three desserts for 15.00 (all desserts were about 7.00). We decided to try that option because the list of desserts just looked phenomenal. We wound up getting the lava cake, fried cheesecake and ice cream. All of them were also outstanding.
Throughout the meal, Tang and our waitress checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was good which it was. The entire experience surpassed my expectations. Large portions and highly affordable. Anytime I'm craving Thai food this is my official go to because it truly is the best. I highly suggest this place for everyone to try. I can not wait to return.
***tons of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians****
They don't offer the excellent lunch special on the weekends any more. My wife and I was going to take my dad and stepmom here for lunch while they're visiting but we can't now! Also my wife and I can't grab the special when she's off during the weekend. It's cheaper to get lunch in New York now.
I was in the mood for thai food and came across this place, and couldn't believe I had not checked it out until now. The aroma once you walk in is very appetizing and the venue is nice yet quite small but it worked out that the place was semi empty. My friend and I decided to order a few small plates/appetizers to get a taste of different items on the menu. The taste of the food was spot on, flavorful, with enough seasoning and nothing overpowering. The presentation was also very appealing to the eyes making it more inviting to devour. This is a BYOB type of place which is great because across the way there's a grocery store that sells alcohol and have a great variety of wines, specifically red ones.
Not completely sure what the hype is about… At most this place is a 3.5ish?? Maybe we came on an off night. Who knows, but I definitely didn't leave with the want to rave about this place.
Service was mediocre, ehhh, not the best not the worst. This place is small there are a few tables really close to each other. Although it's set up romantic I couldn't even hear my bae because the table next to us were so damn loud!
Had the calamari for app which was good, nice and crispy, the sweet and sour sauce that came with it was a perfect pairing. For dinner I had the massaman curry with chicken.. I thought it massaman was yellow; it came out red. A decent amount of chicken, more potatoes than I would have wanted. Not enough carrots but overall an okay dish.
What's great is that it is BYOB. Maybe we would come back and try other dishes but probably not any time soon.
